Great trail for regular walkers. a little ambitious for those starting out, cough cough, myself. Will try it again once I am more fit. wear comfortable, sturdy shoes. Lots of muddy and rocky areas. overall great easy to follow trail.

Flat trail, not bad for a nature walk. Not technical at all. Too much high grass areas for my liking. Good for beginners or small kids .

Nice flat surface and would be a great trail in the winter. Summer the trails are very narrow and shrubs are over grown. Definitely need to be careful of ticks and constantly check yourself for them while on this trail. Would recommend this trail in the winter when it’s not tick season.

Lots of intersecting trails make this pretty SSG to avoid people and there are lots of cut overs to shorten the loops to whatever you are comfortable with. And mostly shaded! They also have a lot of good signage reminding people to keep their distance.

Went on a Sunday- got there around 8:30 am and the parking lot at the deserted village was quite full (but the traffic in the village and on the trail was pretty light). Great easy walk through the village with lots of interesting information- history buffs will love it. Trail went into the woods. Was peaceful and relaxing and very clean. We left around 11 and it had gotten significantly busier by then. Good for kids.

Overall it was a good easy trail. A bit confusing because some trails aren’t marked. If you have the app you can follow the map otherwise it’s easy to get lost. There are sections of the trail that have a lot of sun so being a hat.

It was a bit buggy due to the humidity but that didn’t stop us. We parked at the Deserted Village lot then walked around. Very kid friendly and then walked in the wood by the cemetery. My niece had a blast looking at the historic buildings and learning about the town. Overall, it was a beautiful, relaxing evening.

Moderate traffic, but overall easy trails that are good for both family and individual hikers.

One of the better trails in central Jersey. Very easy, but long enough to keep you busy and the historical aspects are interesting enough to warrant a visit.

Easy trail with good distance! I went the day after it rained and it was quite muddy. Still enjoyed the trail!

Easy trail and beautiful walk. You want to make sure to follow the map or you can go off trail. Enjoy!

Beautiful trail, but heavily trafficked so try to come early to avoid crowds (although if too many people take that advice you may not be avoiding crowds at all lol)

Good for a few rocky scrambles, nice Brook running throughout, the lake is fun to see, but was very crowded and poorly marked. Be sure to follow your app!

Using NyNj trail conf description to get to trailhead of History Trail was useless. Never found it. However, i thoroughly enjoyed hiking throughout on the blue, pink, white, & orange trails, finding several history markers & info anyway, ending up at The Feltville abandoned 1800 village of several cool buildings across the stream, wear boots cause the creek has no built bridges but logs and rocks to get across, and several muddy parts on all trails, very well worth it to explore the village, including a small 1776 cemetery there.

nice path that goes around a lake halfway, the other half leads into the woods. there’s a few patches of hills otherwise pretty flat.
