NOTE: The parking for this area is closed as of early June 2020 due to COVID-19. You must park on the road and walk a half mile to the trailhead. This is a great starting point for many hiking trails in the Delaware Water Gap Recreation area. The Rattlesnake Swamp Trail is a great family hike that offers plenty of vistas and changes in environment to keep everyone's attention.  The 700 feet of elevation gain is very manageable and the views along the ridge are well worth the energy.  The Catfish Fire Tower adds to the scenery and provides a good lunch break stop prior to descending into the Swamp trail section of the hike.Show more
