Actually finished the entire trail. It was an experience. The rain didn’t stop coming down until we finished, but it was worth it. The waterfall, bridge, horses, and scenery was great. There was people walking and running as well but no crowded, more than enough room. Will do it again.

Blue trail on Hissim Rd was hard to find. No parking lot. We drove one car to State Park Rd lot and hiked about 4.5 miles of overgrown trail back to Hissim Rd. Disappointed that the starred vistas were non existent. Good thing was we never passed anyone. It had rained hard day before so some spots were muddy. Wouldn't do this in the spring. Too many areas would be very difficult to pass with rushing waters. Also lots of trees down across trails. Not maintained.

I liked it, the river was really nice. A lot of bugs but you’ll be fine if you use bug spray. Beware of snakes came across 2 and one was pretty big.

The park is very well maintained, clean and paved bike paths. Completely enjoyed my day riding there!

Clean... very easy... large parking...a lot of people. I think If you get here early it would be better.

Good trail overall. The river stops are good but it would be awesome if there was a view point at the top.

Really nicely shaded hike on a hot sunny Saturday. Under the canopy it was not too hot, although it wasn’t humid that day either. Well maintained, not too crowded. Some unexpected and interesting components. Only disappointment was the graffiti w graphic language.

What a beautiful hike! We started at Coopers Mill and followed the Black River along the Patriots’ Path until we veered away from the river toward the junction that took us to Kay’s Conservatory. While there, we enjoyed the tiny little butterfly garden, but there was not much else to see. From there, we took Kays road to Pottersville Road until we found the Red Trail. We took the Red Trail down the mountain toward the river until it reconnected to the Patriots’ Path and back to Coopers Mill. The meandering walk along the river was tranquil and really beautiful. The Red Trail down the mountain was a little more strenuous, but quite lovely and serene in its own way.

Solid trail. Quite overgrown and impossible to traverse past the Perimeter trail sign. I would turn back before passing that sign. Otherwise, a very solid trail.
