Great terrain for our first outing, even though we were locked in. LOL

Network of trails that can be combined in different ways - full map at http://www.njconservation.org/images/2014fpp_trails8x11color.jpg. Trails are decently marked but need to pay attention. Would also be good for trail running.

Good family trail starts off real nice hiking along a cool wooded area along the lake soon as you get to the upper area of the trail it turns into sandy wooded roads which I wouldn’t classify as a trail...the scenery also disappears in this area with no visuals of the lake

awesome! have done it twice from Carranza to applepie hill! beautiful views! gonna backpack the whole thing next month with friends!

Great trail well marked doing it in sections, 10 miles today had the trail to ourselves for all 10 !!

Lovely walk in the Pine Barron's with minimal elevation. Very private if you have a doggo who isn't ready for the light-high traffic trails yet. Me and my pup are doing it in sections and have completed 6 out of the 51.6 miles stretch so far. Will update as we go!

Went on a backpacking trip on Batona Trail in August, with a few family members. Trails are marked well, but so are the fire access roads, which can easily confuse you. There's only two camps that provide water, so plan accordingly if you're doing more of a day hike. Please don't forget your water filters, either, as the waterways you pass on this trail are all cedar water! Fun fact: Batona is short for Back To Nature!

very flat and not much to see but places where people dumped thier household trash sadly...however it is a safe place to run and not be struck by a texting motorist....silver lining.

Have been coming here for years. Great place to camp if you like it rough. Deer, coyote, fox... It's an adventure :)

Recently took our boy scout troop on a canoeing trip on the Wading River. I recommend this trip in the fall. We used a canoe company to drop us off upstream out of convenience. You can use your own canoes but you need to work out the logistics. Anyway, ths canoe trip is great for a beginner 6 mile ride. Great pics and no noise pollution. Camped at Bodine. The river trip brings us back to Bodie. Nice clean large sites, with facilities. Bring a saw to cut fire wood. The scouts had plenty of room to do scout stuff like compass and map orientation, cooking, etc. Clean, affordable and lots to do nearby if it rains. Water in theriver is still warm if you have an out of canoe experience.
