Wonderful because we were able to Bri g along our son’s wheelchair so he could accompany us! Scenic with lots of benches along the route if needed for a rest.

Good for you the rainy day it was today. Asphalt pathway around a pond.

Not sure why the length is set as 3.8, I tracked a run on GPS as 2 miles from the parking lot to the end near Main Street. Besides that, this trail is the perfect spot for paved running or a casual stroll. There are plenty of trees though at times can have little shade. Completed this in late December. Easy.

love this trail. must have done it a hundred times walking and biking!

A great scenic view of the river.

Great walking trail! Loved it! Just wish it wasn’t a paved walk, prefer natural trail under foot. Still loved it though!

This was one of my favorite trails :) Duke Farms is like a magical storybook came to life! Everything is aesthetically pleasing and it’s so much fun to rent a bike and just ride around the whole park!

It was a very nice flat and straight path. The directions are not correct. The best way to get there would be to put Roxbury Day Care in your GPS and park in the Horseshoe lake parking lot on the left before the school. The trail then starts right passed the school on the right. I walked on the road to get there but there’s also trails through horseshoe lake that lead there. It was very nice!

Use it nearly daily for cycling or running. Love this trail!

The route outlined here is kind of a weird route, having you walk on the side of the road for a spell, on the beach, on the bike path, and on the dune hiking trail. Bike path, dune, and beach are good.

Just a walk in the park. Asphalt paved walking path creates the loop. Many deer.

The walking path is just the road that heads from the main entrance around the ponds. Even in late October there were quite a few cars. I would never attempt to walk this in summer. I’d get run over!

The additional trails you see on the map - those are the golf cart paths of the adjacent golf course. And are posted with no trespassing signs. So here it’s just the road around the pond.

Great little hiking trails from 1 to 3 miles

Short little walk, little bit of marshy area and a boardwalk. Saw some deer. Playground for the kids.

Sweet little park. The lake is a relaxing feature. Great job.

Keep in mind, a lot of the trail isn't paved, a lot of gravel paths and the Beachwood/Toms River portion is still 100% wild, no trail whatsoever, just sand and swamps.

Basically, an asphalt sidewalk. Very nice and easy for beginners and/or someone just wanting to take a nice walk. There are some historical landmarks and statues, with information, which is awesome if you're into that. Would definitely do it again, especially on a nice weather day...

The path beyond prospect street is fenced off.

Short out and back. 6 or 7 road crossings. Drivers would not stop to allow pedestrians to cross.

Mostly backyards on either side of the trail.

Small easy hike.

Great for strolling around with a baby! Easy, paved loop with pretty scenery. Besides a baseball field, there is also a volleyball net, swing set and soccer field. Can see enjoying this park for many years to come with the kids.

Crowded on a school holiday. All alone on a workday.
Northern end:
Feels like a park in an urban setting.
Southern end:
Beautiful paved bike trail through forest.
One note: the not paved trail is in dire need of maintenance. Lots of briars and muddy spots.
Biking, what more could you ask for?

Love running on this trail in the fall

There is some confusion here, I read where people describe the park as flat and all paved and not having trails. That is not correct. The trails start right across the street from the park you will see the sign at the park entrance there are two trails at the entrance, hidden creek and schoolhouse and then they branch off,. Just had a delightful run there.❤️❤️❤️

Beautiful, scenic paved and gravel bike trails throughout the property with plenty of places to stop for a picnic. Beautifully manicured property with tons of wildflowers and trees. Lots of shade make this an easy bike ride, with small inclines. Original structures can be found along some of the paths. Sundays in the summer are always fun because the local farmer’s market sets up on the property.

GPS brought me to the side of Route 94 but the trailhead is at the end of the road in Lodestar Park.

Overall an easy hike that is suitable for just about any skill level. The educational markers could use some attention as a few are missing or damaged. I picked up some trash and empty water bottles but more maintenance is needed.

Although the trail is very basic with only a few intersecting paths, better blazing would be helpful.

Not much to see on the trail but the park itself is a great place to bring the kids, dogs, or bikes. Sports fields and playgrounds also located here.
