The gorge makes the hike worth it. Overlook is okay.

I have to say, surprisingly, it was a really nice walk/hike! The trail ranged from easy to moderate (walking and to little bit of climbing). The the view was worthy. A great short hike if you live around the area and don't want to drive too far.

Be prepared, it's not easy hike

Six Mile Run is the name of the stream that runs through the property; don't be confused and think that's the distance of the trails. I've been enjoying the trails at 6MR since 2002 and love them. Mountain bike use has increased drastically over the years, but I still enjoy them for trail running and hiking. Most cyclists say "thank you" when you jump into the poison ivy for them. :-)

Do not follow the NYNJTC map for this area. The map has inaccuracies and the viewpoint designated on the map does not exist.
