Excellent trail that runs through remnants of rural NJ. 167ft. elevation gain stated above is questionable (basically a flat trail.) If you are visiting the area, Walford gristmill (nearby and operational on weekends) is worth a visit and The Moth coffeehouse (former gristmill in Allentown, NJ) is a nice stop for an after walk snack. There have been possible plans stated that would extend the trail to the Working Dog Winery in Hightstown.

Great for the area (And Great on its own right)

Very difficult but challenging and fun. The white trail is pretty hard, lots of maneuvering but fun. Took us about 2.5hrs in the snow. We were soaked with sweat, great workout. I wouldn’t recommend doing this hike in the snow but, we did survive, with no casualties. Lol...

A nice fall walk in mixed meadow, farmland and new growth woodland. As others have said it’s a mix of access roads and single track. Given the terrain and several small lakes it has a good mix of birds. Don’t be put off by the stated location ‘near Trenton’ this is a good 20 mi east of Trenton and is actually on the other side of the NJ turnpike.
