Edit to my other post: the whole route is not closed, just the route to the left from the parking lot. Sorry for any confusion.

This route is closed as far as I know. There is a house being built here and the only way up the mountain is the fire tower loop towards the right of the parking lot. Still a good hike but a bummer that section has been cut off. Hopefully there will be some rerouting?

Great hike up. Really easy climb and great views at the top. There's a fire tower to climb. I think it took me an hour round trip.

Took the steeper trail up counter clockwise with two small kids. Fire tower could use some new wire mesh on the top landing. Mind the signs for the house construction going on!

This is a lovely out of the way little hike, very steep but short and simple. Incredible view! Te life on this mountain after a rain is astounding.

Great trail, mostly easy but with some more challenging spots that make it fun. Amazing views at the top; I definitely need to bring my camera next time! Please be prepared to bring your trash out with you; keep NH trails beautiful!

I grew up hiking this mountain at least every year, now I take my son up here at least a few times in the summer. He’s 8 now and we’ve been doing this since he was about 2, I had a kid carrier backpack for when he got pooped out, now he practically runs up the whole thing. The blueberries were amazing on little blue job yesterday, we picked huckleberries and raspberries too! This is a very accessible little hike for families with amazing views and on a clear day you can see Mt Washington.

Please, pick up and carry out your pets poop and poop bags. Enjoy~

Clean up your pets poop and poop bags. Enjoy this blessing from Mother Earth~

great trail takes me about 45 minutes to complete.

Easy short Good hike for kids

Saw a little yellow plane fly over super low while taking the loop down once

Great little mountain with views and a fire tower. I do this with my young son at least once a year.

nice and fast.

Love the views great for kids and dogs

Nice views, went on the loop to the left of parking lot then over to the tower, very windy on top of the tower.

Very easy hike to the top, and once you get to the fire tower the views are great, 360 degree view and a great spot to watch a sunrise or sunset!

Stay on the trail to the left when leaving the parking area. It takes you over to the Bald Knob with unobstructed views. If you continue over the Knob to the Old Canney Rd. (see local topographic map.) Keep bearing right and it will bring you right back to the parking area. By a map, or go with a guide familiar with the area. It's about a four mile loop along well defined woods roads. Good luck.

Great view 360°, especially when you consider the easy climb it is to the rock out crop on the left trail.

from car park, if you take trail on right, quicker way to fire tower but steeper.

This is a nice hike with picnic possibilities along the way. A great hike with the kids

I've been hiking this for years, mostly with my best friend, Rufus, a Miniature Schnauzer. We would hit the crown point trail and start with the fire tower trail and make output way to the bald peak. Tons of views including the ocean and Mt. Washington. Relatively easy hike with great views throughout but very heavily trafficked. Like many have said, tons of blueberries. I've seen many large deer on the trail and bald eagles from the summit. I have spoken to a few people about the trailhead from Sheepborough road but have as of yet not tried it. I have also seen jeeps and 4x4 trucks rock scrambling on the bald top.

Took the toughest route after not hiking in easily 5 years and it kicked my ass but it was so worth it!

My first time today. meh. nothing super cool or difficult. you can comfortably bring nothing with you. it's basically a 2 mile loop with a ton of unmarked trails mixed in. Also came up on a group of kids in their early and mid twrnties climbing the radio tower and fire watch tower, on the roof of the shack near them, and smoking, and drinking. other than the bad there is a cool pond and the dog was happy, and we were too because we got some blue berries.
