Gentle even paths. We provided a feast for the mosquitoes.

Went on this last week. My first time up. I enjoyed the hike. I was surprised to meet two cyclists at the top. The last stretch was steep and rocky and I didn’t realize the flexibility of the current equipment.

I’d recommend this trail for all reasonably healthy trekkers.

Scrambling over boulders along the river makes this “easy” trail fun. Also dips into the pools along the trail , cool.

Easy for small children. A little tough at times with the markers when branching off of the standard loop, but fun and easy!

Its a really tough (cardio wise) climb uphill when you use Middle Trail to the top. I think it would be a bit easier if you use the Peak Trail which is the north side of the circle to reach the top. We aren’t 25 yrs old and it was an uphill climb, but easy on the footing at least. The Peak is beautiful and well worth it. It did take us a little over 3 hours since we sat at the top for a long while.

Anyone no how much is it to park?

Steep hike, did it in late march with a lot of ice and snow on the mountain still. Went without boot spikes and suffered the consequences. Would recommend not doing in the winter unless properly equipped. Great views at the top though, worth the work.

The trails are well packed, and easy to navigate. Every one in our group ranging from 8-40 ran up trail with ease... due to the warm weather that came in last wdek, a pair of cramp-ons will help with the ice on the upper portion of the trail or just stay on the side.

Good little hike to get the kids out on for the first time this season. Little slippy at the start with slushy wet snow and ice. The middle was dry. Water was flowing good and there was TONS of people.

Great for kids! Brought the dog too on a leash. Can’t wait to come back this summer to swim.

FYI--Hurricane Mountain Road is closed about 1.5 before you reach the trail.

gets the heart pumping! the snow was nice and packed down for most of the way until you near the top - definitely recommend crampons! it was steeper in the beginning and throughout the middle but levels off towards the top. doable for any level hiker if you take your time! our puppy did great! well marked! beautiful view - would love to hike again in the warmer weather.

Super rando! De belles vues et un sommet ou l’on peut prendre du temps pour relaxer. C’est beau! Quand même facile comme montée . Je ferai la boucle dans le sens anti-horaire la prochaine fois .

Very easy, short walk to and from. Make sure you pay yo park or you will be towed.

You really want to wear crampons at the very least, but I actually would have done this in snowshoes. Loved it

the perfect trail with my pup! we absolutely loved it! perfect for any skill level. we took the black diamond trail. A+

Hiked this in September. Not enough good things to say about it! Amazing waterfall reward at the end of an easy hike.

gets the heart pumping! middle mountain trail to the peaked connector is steeper, but a little more direct. doable for any level hiker if you take your time. peaked trail is windier and takes a bit longer - not as steep as middle. the views along peaked trail before you even get to the summit are breathtaking. our puppy did great! well marked! beautiful view - would love to hike again in the warmer weather!

Nice easy trail with a spectacular waterfall at the end!

Great, easy, beautiful trail. You don't need to walk the whole thing before you start getting spectacular views. You can wear sneakers for sure, although I'd always recommend boots!

Great winter hike for Christmas Eve day. Fairly well traveled. We started at 10:30 and the trail had already been broken from the storm the day before. Micro spikes were fine and packed snow made it easy for our standard poodle. He's not much of a hiker on the steeps - this was easy for him. Nice view at the summit. Took the advice here and went up Middle and down Peaked....made for great views on the way down.

Easy winter stroll around the lake. Pretty though. Basically flat. Snow made it a little tough to find the start of the trail for our first visit. But once you get away from beach area the path is easy to follow. We were hoping to use our snowshoes but there wasn’t really enough snow. We will definitely be back when it snows more. Safe easy place to learn to snowshoe.
About 3/4 of the way around the lake we choose to take the Cathedral Ledge trail to add to the adventure (add 2 miles and some elevation gain for sure. I recommend that if you are a hiker.) Need crampons in the winter if snow and ice is present. . Actually, even around the lake it helps to have good boots with traction or some slip on cleats if there is snow/Ice.
Parked outside the park, as it is closed in the winter. Signs say “ no parking” ... but there were other cars and we didn’t get a ticket or towed. At least this time. :)
Note for next Spring, Summer, Fall - this would be a great running trail. About a mile long so just add the laps you want!

Did this twice with a mixed group of skill levels. Challenging enough to get the heart pumping, but easier enough for all to complete. The views at the top are beautiful!! Bring a snack or lunch and relax for awhile on the flat rocks at the top.
