Great quick hike to get the heart rate going! Perfect views Of the valley, moats and Chocorua! Bring the bug spray for sure!

Hiked on 5/23/2020. Muddy in spots, very buggy. But quiet and easy to navigate.

Very well marked, easily navigated grade, excellent view. One stream crossing and it was pretty dry.

Great hike to get the heart rate going, some steep spots here and there but terrain is well maintained. View at the top is worth it

Black flies and mosquitos were rampant. Bring spray or netting

We got engaged on top of this mountain! Great pictures. Couldn't tell you many details about the trail because I was so nervous about losing the ring but I was sweating and panting by the top. And my fiance really enjoyed screaming off the top of the mountain that "WE'RE ENGAGED"

Counterclockwise. Harder up. Easier down. 2:20 with lunch and a great view on top. Surprisingly not crazy buggy, but some.

Very flat trail around the pond. Most of the path had tree roots so be careful on some spots if trying to go for pace. The beach areas are small but everyone there seems to enjoy themselves and had good distance apart

Great hike, Good people and the Nature is beautiful.

Beautiful view from the top! Steady incline all the way up. Trails are very well marked. Will definitely be doing again!

Easy and great for a day off with the dog. So many great trails in and out of the woods that aren’t even on the map.

Still pretty muddy in some spots, and tons of flies constantly! Even so, it was a very nice trail with amazing views

Lovely hike to do in an afternoon! Decent elevation with great views. It is still open. However there were a TON of people on the trail (I saw about 45 people total this Saturday afternoon). Everyone was respectful of social distancing practices, but if you want less people go here on a weekday morning. Fun drive up and easy parking.

HMR is now open for the season! This is a great little trail with killer views. Probably the most bang for your buck in the area given the view of Washington and the fact that it’s not nearly as steep as Cathedral Ledge. I think anyone could hike this. Just keep in mind it is very popular, for bikers too, and if it has recently rained there will be some mud and the rocks can get slippery.

Did not have time to do the ledge this is a nice easy walk around the lake with some pretty views will come back and do the lookout later.

My favorite trail so far! It’s a fairly quick hike and the trails are very well marked. The view is absolutely beautiful! Also dog friendly!

Beautiful windy hike. Went up counterclockwise. Going up def the steeper side. Coming down a bit easier and beautiful views of Mt Washington. Lunch spot At the top with a view !!! Total 3.9 mi.

Fantastic loop; we went clockwise. Minimal mud, no bugs yet (but of course they are coming soon!). Great views, no scrambling. TNC limits access to just 10 cars that can fit at the trailhead parking lot. Tgis seems exactly right to me; safety first!!

Trail was very well market. Beautiful views at the top. Wasn’t too long of a trail, but kept a steady incline so it was a good workout. Just a little bit of mud here and there on the trail. Definitely recommend :)

NIce trails, some views, too close to town for me

Gorgeous lake - might as well do the other hikes while you are there. The loop with White Horse Ledge and Cathedral Ledge was about 5 miles and I would highly recommend

Hiked this last October. Amazing views for very little work. I did the loop clockwise, but if you were looking for a low impact hike, you could go counterclockwise up then back the same way. Definitely recommend!

Driving to trailhead closed-need to park and hike up hill in extra 1.8 miles (extra 2.6 miles in total) each way just to start the trail. Signs posted that they close the road because they don’t treat it/plow it in the winter. The 1.8 mile hike up to the trial head has a series of waterfalls-beautiful!
