Very easy, wide trail, nice for a dog walk. Pretty muddy in parts but passable. About half way down there is a Peanut Spur Trail off to both the left and right that takes you into the woods on a wide pine needle path. Parked in the PreSchool lot next to the Fire Station. There is also a pull off with room for a few cars on the Whittier Street end of the trail.

It's an easy trail and girl scouts have put up signs!

Trail stays wide for most of the hike as it's mostly used for snowmobiles. Still a great hike, with neat sections of woods. I recommend taking 12a off the fire road to see some boulders and extend the hike a bit. The pond itself is surprisingly magnificent, from some views on the shores of the north side.
