Great trail! Up hill for the most part but pretty easy if you go at your own pace and lovely view! My group took “the trail less traveled” so it took us a longer way back.

Nice short hike. Pretty steady incline, nice view of Lake Solitude.

Trail was very icy for most of it. We got a little off trail in the beginning due to the confusion of the maple tap tubing and caution signs. Many parts of the train that had water crossing was frozen over and water was high. Snow at the top but was packed down. Some areas don’t have the best trail markers. View from the top was very pretty though! Definitely would be a fun hike in the summer!

Walk up between the learning center and sports association buildings to the trail. Great hike for the family. Lots of animal prints in the new snow.

I am 52 years old and have been coming to the Sunapee Lake Region for 52 years. Thanks to All Trails this is the first time I've ever found the trailhead to get to the summit of Mount Sunapee. I have been to the top of Mount Sunapee many many times, frequently hiking the Andrew Brook Trail. But also climbing straight up the ski slopes and sometimes using a chair lift if that's available and running down the ski slopes. I must say the trail is a lot more fun!!! Beautiful trail with young healthy Evergreen and beautiful foliage at this time of year. It was very very very wet. thanks to those who posted how to find the trailhead. It is behind the Adventure Center. Follow the road, bear right and look for a hole in the woods. ps..I still took the ski trail descent - the views are spectacular.

Really fun trail! Beautiful up at the pond and the view from the ledge was GREAT! Overall great day. Hidden gem

Trail was a little slippery. Slick rocks up near the top and wet leaves near the bottom.

Dog friendly trail. The real views are at the White cliffs. Well marked with Blue paint on the trees to the lake, then White to the Cliffs.

Great hike. First note, it is not 5 miles out and back, it is 7. If you look at my recording, as with many others, you will see that the trail as marked does not follow the black line on the map. This has been the best leaf season in years, and we hit the peak color. Gorgeous reds and yellows in the first half of the trail, and obviously Lake solitude is beautiful in the second half. Couldn’t have asked for more. Also far less crowded than I expected. There was a lot more activity above lake solitude than below, due to people riding the lift up rather than hiking it. Moderate is an accurate rating. My kids (7 through 11yrs) are pretty good hikers, and we were under two hours up and two hours down, even with some brief stops along the way (but they did get tired). Character: mostly an uphill walk, very well maintained, with rock steps in place for the first half. The character of the trail changes completely at the left turn where it joins the rim trail, and starts a significantly steeper climb for a few hundred yards. After that back to hiking/walking, and the start of a few of the aforementioned beautiful views. The trail terminates on a blue square ski trail called Stovepipe a hundred+ yards from the peak of the resort.

First time up. Fantastic albeit crowded. It’s to be expected this time of year. Never understand teenagers playing music for everyone on their phones. Duh

Amazingly beautiful trail in October. More people after the junction and the top was pretty busy from the chairlift.

Great trail, strenuous but not unreasonable, with amazing views from the top. Entrance to the trail is behind the adventure club to the right.

Gorgeous hike. being from California originally I was amazed by the fall foliage and I was the only hiker on the trail. . it was dead easy ..summited in just under an hour. in a quirk of fate there was a wedding reception that was going to use the ski lift up to the top and so I was there so he let me go down the ski lift in 42° weather it was absolutely magnificent I felt like the double rainbow guy tears of joy looking at leaves change!

Half Moon Rd > Solitude Lake 20 miles out/back. Good strenuous part of the MSG trail. Terrain varies and better than some of the more southern sections. Great views. Calf, thigh, and knee burner :).

A great trail! I took Andrew Brook to Lake Solitude and then continued onto Solitude Trail to the Summit. Overall I did about 7.5 miles (I ended up doing a short bit of the Summit trail by accident as well). I seemed to be tripping over roots and rocks more so on this trail than any other trail I’ve done so far. This obviously could have just been me but as always just watch your step! While I thought the trail was pretty well marked, I do think there are a few spots that would benefit from some extra blazes as I got turned around a couple of times. Great hike to do during the week if you can since it’s quite quiet. Really enjoyed this one!

Easy dry trail with nice southeast face at the top. Flat rocks to lay picnic out on. A bit wind exposed. No bugs today.
