A short trail with parking at the trailhead that leads into the Pulpit Rock Preserve trail system. Great all year hiking (snowshoes or spikes recommended in ice/snow weather). Mellow for kids. End of trail features Pulpit Rock, an amazing mini canyon/waterfall feature that is smack dab in the middle of this wildlife preserve. Wildlife includes birds (including various raptors, turkeys, woodpeckers), deer, beavers, groundhogs, porcupines, beavers, and even the occasional weasel if you know where to look. This trail leads to the center of the Pulpit Rock nature preserve and features many different short trails that allow you to piggy back through the system and even all the way to Joppa Hill Farm.Show more
