Was a great hike. Took both my kids 8y/o and 4y/o. The 4y/o was sluggish the last mile. Took us 2 hrs with stopping to see creatures. Lots of squirrels and chipmunks but , we also saw frogs, slugs, birds, caterpillars, silk worms and a crawfish in one of the streams. Recommend water for the kids and lots of bug repellent (mosquitoes were nasty).

Very peaceful and quiet area. Trails are very well marked. There's no cell service so make sure you download the map before you go.

Beautiful day, hardly any bugs, a nice breeze most of the way.

Beautiful views of the pond from the top! Nice hike. A little overgrown and a lot of roots, but overall well worth it!

Nicely marked but Ridgeline Trail is a misnomer - maybe Woodline would be more descriptive as the trail is pretty flat but runs in a low area so no panorama views. The Red Diamond is a nice short 45 minute circuit (moving at a decent clip)0 - go left if you want to do the Nature Trail in order

HikingGreat!Rocky

This has to be one of the coolest trails I have done so far on my trips around the area. The "top" on the Tamposi trail (yellow) was rock with lots of pines...we thought "where is the view?!" Keep walking down and around and it will open up to AN AMAZING view on a cliff- rock side. Continue around the cliff to another beautiful open view!! The lake you see, you end up going around AND there were swimming areas with clear mountain water. There were TONS of yellow butterflies near this lake and it was an amazing experience!!!

This is a beautiful area, unfortunately the trails need some work. It's overgrown in some areas and some of the boardwalks are broken. The trails are poorly marked and if you get lost it becomes a maze. Also bring bug spray!

HikingGreat!

Very short hike but very steep on the way up! We completed this is about 40 mins. The way up takes the longest! Nicely shaded until you get to the overlook. The view of Squam Lake is unbelievable for such a short hike. Great place to bring some lunch! The way down is nice and quick

The view at the lake is beautiful, but signs are very confusing, I gave up following different colors (e.g., blue, white and orange) and totally followed the map on my phone.

Arrived July 4. Brush wasn’t cut down. I was wearing shorts and decided not to continue. A Positive is that it was empty while the nearby park entrance was packed by 9:30am

Cool little hour+ hike. I was a fool for forgetting bug spray. Eaten alive, but great for getting the body moving. Wear long sleeves and something around the neck and you’ll have a great time!
