Extremely buggy, not sure if it was bc it rained last night, but it was bad. We had lots of bug spray and citronella bracelets and we got eaten alive, beautiful trail and summit but yikes. Fairly easy hike

Well marked trail with some great views close to the top. It starts off super buggy and flat, but once you hit the incline at the switchbacks the bugs start to leave you alone. The top has no view but there is a great view just below the peak. Brickett Falls (lacking a little water right now) is definitely worth seeing.

Nice hike with some bursts of sudden elevation. Otherwise quite easy. Offers great views of the Bald faces and surrounding white mountains. Almost all snow has melted away.

Easy hike, this is bald faces sister mountain, they connect through the eagle ridge trail, this mountains truely interesting because it intersects into a huge network of trail that lead to the Carter some near wildcat. There was snow on the top only in the woods.

This is a pretty nice and borderline easy hike. Most of the time it’s pretty flat; it doesn’t start getting strenuous till you near the switchbacks and after that there’s really nothing technical. Near the summit there are nice views to the east into Maine and south of the Baldfaces, but there are no views at the actual summit. I only saw four groups of people today so it was a good hike for avoiding a crowd! Oh and checking out Brickett Falls is definitely worth the detour.

Trail in great condition, little bits of leftover snow in the last ~.7 miles but managed just fine in trail runners.

This is a beautiful hike with lots to see! many water crossings and the Brickett Falls are beautiful! Just a 5minute detour, totally worth it. Unfortunately, today there was a bunch of snow at the summit, just over the tree line. There wasn't much, probably the last .7miles but there was enough to fall through it many times. For the next person to hike it, please write a review and let me/others know if there is still any snow up top! I'd love to complete it without snow. Breathtaking views at summit

I absolutely loved this trail. Right now, there is still a good bit of ice and snow at the top of the hike after the switch backs. Its fairly steep. I would recommend anyone who hikes brings gear for the ice. Stunning views of N and S Baldface. This might be one of my new favorite hikes!

I'm sure this hike is awesome, unfortunately about 25 minutes in I came across a bear so my hike was over... Just want to give a heads up to anyone thinking about hiking this mountain.

Spent night up on the Moriah Carter ridgeline. Peaked at Mt Moriah nice day then came down Moriah Brook Trail (early July) MUDDY knee deep boot sucked off slow going at the top. Real swamp, worst I’ve yet been through by far! Bugs bugs and more bugs. The trail started and stopped, not well marked at all. No service so you better be pretty savvy. Once off the initial couple of miles. It became a beautiful hike through some of the prettiest forests. Evidence of Moose everywhere. Gorgeous river, great spot to hang (except for the bugs) Peak to site about 3. 1/2 hours, downhill. Add an hour if going up. Wash outs on Wild River Trail so dont count on it. Had to bushwhack abit. At the end of the hike it was kind of a drag. Bring bug net!

YES, the first two miles will be full of pesky mosquitos in the spring and summer. I covered all my skin, continuously applied DEET, and kept up a good pace without stopping and came away with just two bites. If you can make it through the bugs, it's worth the third mile, when the trail winds away from the stream and the switchbacks begin. I didn't see anyone else on the entire hike; it was very peaceful, the view was great, and the final mile was a decent challenge. Brickett Falls is worth the quick detour - there were tons of butterflies, the water was refreshing, and the falls were pretty.

This is a great out and back trail, worth it for views and solitude... didn’t encounter another hiker the whole trip. Bugs were bad until the switchbacks, but got better on the ascent. The Falls were worth the detour.

Really enjoyed this hike today. My husband, myself and the dog did this one with ease! Checked out the detour to the falls on the way back down and cooled off a bit! Not a crowded or heavily traveled trail which we really enjoyed. Views of the Baldfaces at the top were beautiful!

Typically spectacular Evans Notch area hike. Last hiked on June 2, 1996. Took about 5.5 hours with an hour at the top for lunch. Easy hike until near the top, when became steep. A number of great river crossings. Great views from the top. Parked near campground entrance at the kiosk.
