Goffstown, New Hampshire Map

This is a good hike if you are nearby and are looking for something easy/moderate. I do not recommend going at night unless with a large group - there are a few abandoned shacks along the summit/walker trail and it is very discomforting even during the day. There are also a few unsettling looking houses that "seem" to be occupied. I went up the summit and on to walker trail and kept going until the incline trail in which I took down back to the parking lot. I saw about 3 views. One not as big as the others; none are absolutely special but they are somewhat pretty. Good enough for a shorter hike. Took me less than an hour for the whole hike but I went at a steady fast pace with no breaks and went down the incline trail which is much shorter (quite steep the entire way).
Hope this helps some!

This hike was great for a pre-work sunrise hike. We started off at the trail head at 6:30am and were at the top before the sunrise at 7:15am. It was a bit challenging with the leaves and pine needles, but not overly challenging. We brought good flashlights to follow the well-marked trail. The way down was steep and would have been tough on my knees without poles, but nobody fell down at all!

Gem of a local hike. Great cardio to views of Manchester and surrounding rural Hillsborough county.

Markers are few and far between on some trails but is easy to navigate because of the size.

Go to the South trail map on this app. That’s where you will find the views. There are a lot of trails on this side and it gets confusing.

I was looking for a quick hike and was very pleased with this trail! It took us about an hour and a half to do the full loop- exactly what I was looking for! If you follow the Red Dot Trail, be ready for a really steep incline up to the top!

It took me 3 different trips to find the North peak (kept ending up at the South) because I don't think the trail markers quite match the map. But today I made it- took the Red Dot Trail up which was quite a workout for a small mountain! There is a nice big space up top for picnicking.

Was pressed for time and we spent a little over an hour there-getting to the summit off the blue did not take long at all. We went up blue and down white - to me coming down was a bit scary due to the incline. Definitely a bit of a challenge because I do most of my walking on treadmills and far less challenging terrain. I’m sure true hikers and climbers would find this on the easier side though.

this is a nice little hike.the summit is not much
lots of cell towers, but the outlooks are great. will do this one again in the late fall or early winter.

Great quick loop with nice views up top, but be ready for a steep, somewhat technical ascent!

Great little hike in and out! We took our dog and carried our 1 year old in our hiking pack and went up the white dot trail which takes you directly to the top. Views was ok. For what it is, we were very happy! Took exactly 1 hour top to bottom.

red dot is a quad burner and super technical. love it!

Fun quick little hike

Let’s start from the beginning: parking at the base is good enough for 6-10 vehicles. Immediately at the start there is an amazing view looking out the lake. The hike itself was about an hour long to the top (summit trail) where sunset was an amazing view. Overall not a bad trail and I recommend.

I'm more of a casual biker and I really like this trail.
It's not too far from anything. The trail is popular, especially on weekends so keep that in mind. The entire trail is very well maintained. Plenty of places to stop and take a break without being in everyone's way.

A great quick loop that offers a moderate workout.

Great views. Lots of daddy long legs.

Quick hike for sure, even in the heat I was able to complete it in just an hour. Definitely steep most of the time - be super careful with the pinestraw and leaves! The summit is very pretty with the surrounding trees and views of the neighboring mountain and city. Lots of daddy long legs as well, which was weird! I don't see there very often and it was a surprisingly amount of them there. All in all, well worth the time.

If you’re looking for a workout and a twisted ankle. Highly recommend this short trail. Very rocky but not long. The view was decent from a spot at the top. (There is a reason they call it the incline trail). There is a longer trail that starts in a different spot. Check that one out, it’s a lot easier.

Too close to the road (loud car noise messing with nature views). Mix of tree covered and sun-exposed. Perhaps ok for biking.

Nice route and very dog friendly. The views looking out to Manchester are a nice plus.

Couldn’t find it! We walked on every trail we could find and we kept getting further away from the map no matter which way we went. Ran into another family having the same problem. After half an hour we gave up and as I drove away I noticed a smaller parking lot further up mountain road that had a sign for white dot trail. That one looks like it would have taken us straight to the summit. We might come back to check it out someday...but there are definitely better, easier to follow trails out there!

Pretty nice workout for a short hike. Trails are very well marked. Beautiful view up top! Took exactly an hour roundtrip to the parking lot.

The walk was comfortable and the views were amazing.

nice easy trail but not well marked, took a lot of stops to pick wild flowers and take pictures but went off trail more than once. didn't even end up doing the full loop

Great short mountain hike. There are couple steep spots to get a good workout, but it is a relatively easy hike for a “mountain”. You can get up to the top a couple different ways. As you drive up mountain road there are multiple pull offs to park at. The trail is marked with red dots, but there a couple spots you might get off the main trail onto a social trail. We took our dog and she loved it. Took about an hour, maybe a bit more to do the whole thing. There is a great view of Manchester off to the East. And for any of the pokemon go players, there a few pokestops on the trail and even a gym at the top! Haha!

Great views of the greater Manchester area, we even saw the Boston skyline. We went up summit and down incline trail. We'll be back in the summer months
