I have been to the Swope Trails more times than I can count. Most people only hike to the view point but there is so much more than that. There are miles of trails for you to explore. It's a great trail to run your dog on and if you do down the splinter trails there are streams and a pond for them to cool off in. Overall some of the best trails in Concord and it's only about a ten minute drive from downtown Concord.

Very quick and easy trail. The views are beautiful!!

Saw a doe today!

Great amount of options for a local trail with a fire tower! Great day hike! Identified a downy woodpecker and golden crowned kinglet

Very easy stroll through the woods, by the Merrimac River and along a stream. Enjoyable.

Fantastic view in such a short hike! Love the short mountainous trail, got a decent workout in some gorgeous forest. I got lost and walked in circles, but I still don't know how as the looping trails are pretty well marked. Definitely user error. I ended up wandering around happily for at least a couple of hours while stopping to stare at the view for quite a long time; no bugs there!

Easy, lots of places to picnic, swim, and play in the water with your dog.

A hidden gem 15 minutes from Laudon Rd. Many connector trails, most recently they added a connector to Winant Park.

Love love love this trail. Taken some of my best photography on it. Every time I come I discover a new trail and am always astounded by the beauty right in concord!

One of my favorite places for winter and late fall as it isn't as crowded then.

Easy path for families. Too bad dog owners don't pick up after their pets, even though they get free poop bags at the entrance.

This is a wonderful place to walk. Lots of people walking their dogs. I've been here all times of the year as I live nearby. In the summer, it can be extremely busy, and almost everyone, including me seems to have a dog. Other times of year (including winter - not sure why it's described as only open part of the year) it's quite. Parts of it are great for photography. And I've seen people swim in the river here too. Nice kayaking around here too but this trail isn't the best access. You'd have a long carry in.

I hike all the trails at oak hill a few times a wk. The side trails are much more quiet than the tower trail. People are very friendly and it's a very dog friendly place. I see most dogs of leash, they are all friendly. I love all the trails.

We've done the Tower trail to the fire tower and decided to hit some of the lower trails. There are a lot of turns and trails that you can take to vary this up a lot to make it different each time. Good views from the vista in this area and some nice climbs on the Murray Bluff trail.

This is an easy, enjoyable, level trail. It has trail markers and benches along the way. The trail is interesting as it meanders through a pine forest, an open meadow, continues beside the Merrimack River to a silver maple forest, a cove and a marsh.

I loved coming here in high school. The loop is easy and fun to do with friends.

My wife and I enjoyed this trail. It's an easy walk, clearly marked. It winds first down by the marsh. There's a nice platform bench there if you want to sit and talk or watch the blue heron and other birds (bring your camera). Then the trail continues back toward Hoit Rd. where you cross the road and go on the longest leg.

Several choices make for a hike of whatever time length you prefer.
