A favorite for the last 8 years, always other dogs for our dog to greet, unfriendly dogs are usually on leash but have had a few people with their dogs out of sight/not paying attention to them. Beautiful year round and a great spot for a mid-walk swim in the summer. If you go in the spring - wear rubber boots because it will get muddy.

Great for running, several different loops in the trail system to keep it interesting for ~4 miles

Nice walk in the woods with dog. Great camp sites and swimming spots on Little Squam lake. Beautiful views of red hill and the rattle snake mountains.

Easy hike for a swim at Squam Lake

Blueberries and beaches - what more could you want?

Great day for a walk around on these trails. Extremely easy but a lot of fun! Picked blueberries, swam in the lake, viewed gorgeous flowers, saw a loon platform, trekked across a gorgeous swam walk way and spied a gnome house. Very much enjoyed!!

I loved this trail, especially with the dog. We did the big yellow loop through the swamp trail and around to the beaches. It was a little muddy from previous days rain but she was able to wash her paws with a dip at the beaches. It was a pretty view of the lake and there weren't many people there for a nice July day.

Wonderful easy hike through a pine needle covered forest with some views of Squam Lake.

Great hike for families. There is a composting toilet near the beach and the campsites, great when you have kids with you! Lots of rocks to scramble on, wetland walk is very cool though extremely dry this year. Lots of dogs here so be careful with toddlers. Park at the West lot for easiest access to the beaches. Signs are excellent as are the trail maps posted along the way.

My favorite trail so far! Mostly flat, groomed paths, well marked, beautiful views, two beaches, little traffic. But the best part is a wooden bridge through a swamp. Sounds awful, I know, but it is wonderful. Don't even think about it - go!

Wonderful hike along the lake with a stop at a nice beach.

Nice moderate hike. Ferns everywhere, it had rained a couple of days prior to our hike and there were all kinds of mushrooms along the trail. Beautiful views of Squam Lake and nice beaches.
