Nice walk in the woods. Trail marked well. Not much in the way of views but peaceful with babbling brook and rushing river. Winding path with some rolling terrain, challenging enough to be a workout when cutting the trail with snowshoes.

Nice hike, interesting boulders at the beginning, great views of Willard Pond and beyond from two overlooks.

Beautiful, steep inclines nothing too hard, nobody was there. Trail gets shifty sometimes but not hard to get back on track. Views are worth the short distance and quick elevation

Beautiful views from the 2 ledges. Very wet trail from the last 3 days of rain so care was needed in maneuvering the trail. Some blazes were missing so we had to backtrack a few times. Very steep in some parts. Great workout.

no dogs.

I don't think this trail should be rated easy. Nonetheless this trail is great. Awesome views of the rolling hills and Willard Pond from the top. Beautiful stroll along the pond on the way back.

Hands down one of my favorites. Wish I still lived closer to this trail. It is a very interesting hike for footing as you have to keep focused to not trip on all the roots! There are many signs of beaver here as well. Also, the pond is great for kayaking if you want to do both and make a day of it.

Nice hike rewarding view of pond from cliffs. Also nice walk along it on the way out

Hidden gem! I was certainly surprised by the wonderful views! Nice little hike!!

Plenty to see here!! Between the old Mill site and wetlands Loverens Mill Cedar Swap Preserve is worth a visit. However, In the current state the trails are in, I would not advertise them as easy. If the trails were maintained a it better I would have given this a 4.

I am sure this place is a beauty in the winter. However, we went today and the first stretch of the path was wildly overgrown. We missed the trail marker (which is on the right about 1/4 of a mile in) - it easy to miss. The last 75 feet of the boardwalk were overrun with swamp water. We are pretty easy going, but after a haul up a completely unkempt (hip height grass and shrubs...) path with four toddlers in tow, missing the sign for the trail, and sinking 1 foot into the swamp while crossing the boardwalk, we decided to turn around. The Nature Conservancy should revisit this one and get the preliminary path cleared up and the boardwalk repaired. It just needs some maintenance. For those willing to trod through the tall grass and shrubs, bring heavy duty bug spray and pants to keep the ticks away.

Parking can be challenging on a nice day since you're competing with the kayakers and swimmers at Willard Pond. There are great views at the top and a good, fairly flat rock outcropping to sit and relax. There are views to Crotched Mtn. and Nubanusit as well at Mt. Monadnock. The beauty is you can go swimming in Willard Pond afterwards; one of the cleanest ponds in the region.

I love this trail. Beautiful stretch along the North Branch of the Contoocook River. And the boardwalk into the ancient Cedar Swamp is pretty magical. Also great for winter snowshoeing.

Great Trail with lots of sights along the way. Huge boulders, mushrooms galore, the Contoocook river, Beaver dams, waterfalls. Easy hike with minimal elevation.

We ran into some May flies, but a great trail. Only reason this is not a 5 rating is because the trail didn't keep going.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Between the pond, the easy hike up bald mountain, and the wildlife it doesn't get much better!

Beautiful peaceful lake with great views of the mountains. There was a pair of looms nesting there and were fine with us watching from a safe distance. Also loads of dragonflies and various birds, including a heron and a king fisher. Seemed to be a great spot for kids to go swimming too. All in all great spot to hang out and enjoy nature.
