It was a nice walk, but the hike back up was hard. Having done a lot of hiking since I broke my ankle last winter. But it will get easier with time

If all you want is a nice 30 to 60 minute walk on a paved trail, this is a nice way to get out and go for a casual walk, you can stroll or brisk walk, whatever you want. Like this website says, it is a 1.7 mile walk, however if you look at the map, you will see a dotted black line which extends to another mirror image of the walk outlined in red. The 1.7 mile walk outlined in red takes about a half hour at a medium brisk walk and if you add the additional trail (black dotted line on map), the two combined takes about an hour. Although this trail is surrounded by homes, it is surprisingly private and quiet and the homes do not detract from the natural beauty along the trail.

Really nice scenery in many parts of the area. My only complaint is that the trails are extremely rocky. Anyways, its very scenic, quite, and relaxing. There are tons of other trails you can chose from and they lead all over the mountain. I would do this trail over and over again.

LEAVE YOUR BLUETOOTH SPEAKER IN THE CAR.
Can I get an amen?
The hike was super fun but 3x separate groups were walking with music which def made my experience less enjoyable than it should have been so I’ll put this out there:

1-you’re not alone in and other people want to enjoy nature.
2-you’re in a canyon. We can all hear your shitty music.
3-it’s dangerous. If someone is hurt and needs help I just hear your all we hear is your music bouncing through the canyon.
4- wear an earbud if you really can’t be alone with your thoughts.

Came out Thanksgiving morning for a solo Turkey Trot. Did two loops, 1 CW, 1 CCW. Same amount of hills it seemed like either way. Some sandy spots but not bad. The road is wash boarded for most of it but they were spread out so it wasn’t too bad. Loved the sunrise views.
