I took my wife, 1.5 year old son, and two dogs. Wife carried him 3/4 of it and we didn’t have on hiking shoes. Super easy hour long walk good for families.

Beautiful fall hike, lots of golden leaves, few hikers. Definitely one to do again!

Wow! Fabulous trail ride. A lot of DG and does technical with the large boulders. We are not able to get to Rock Lake. Boulders made it impossible to pass safely with our horses.
My horse did fine without shoes.
Narrow at points with steep drop offs lasting short distances. First time taking my young mare on a more technical ride, she did fine. There is quite a bit of elevation hike, but we stopped and tested as needed. Quite a few hikers, not bad. Parking adequate.

Beautiful and lush in Spring. Great for strollers, children, dogs.

hiked out of whites creek parking area..spectacular!! two deer were right at the top of the lookout of galena! Saw the occasional hiker...Whites creek seemed to be full. Have done this hike several times...But first since 16

Who in the world ranked this hike as moderate!! After the first nine tenths of a mile the hike starts getting real steep and the path is hard to find and stay on. With the AllTrails however, it makes it easier to stay on track. It is a pretty tough climb to the first ridge and then it's still steep but at least the trail is easy to follow. The views are spectacular and the climb is rewarding. I'm glad I did this route ONCE, but I'll stick to going up the other side. Going down is also kind of hard.

Easy hike and great for kids! I also noticed a family with a stroller and another family with a wheelchair on this trail, so it’s a great hike for all abilities. It was a brisk and chill wind, but with a nice fleece or windbreaker it wasn’t too bad. My 4 year old loved stopping to read all the ‘stories’ on the interpretive signs.

Great trail, little bit of a challenge since it's a near constant uphill, but it was fun. The views of Slide Mountain are really great, the hiker in front of me saw several bears; a Mom and her Cubs. I later found a still drenched chewed up baseball cap on the trail were the bears were seen at, so definitely keep alert. Not a beginners hike, but if you're physically active you'll be fine.

Amazing. Stupendous. And very pleasant; not a killer. =]

Perfect loop. Did it clockwise today. Brought the wife and dog along. Goodtimes. A mountain biker was having a bite to eat at dry pond and noticed a decent sized bear about 50 yards away. Walking towards him. He packed up his stuff and jammed down trail towards whites creek. All in all. A beautiful day. A bit smoky but well worth it. The dog had a blast splashing around in the water along the way. Walking through the aspens along the water was probably my favorite part.

Nice evening walk. Scouting out places for my daughters engagement photo shoot

If you stay on the main trail this is not HARD. Trail is smooth with cool rock formations. I took the BP side trail up to upper price lake.
Don't take this route unless you're advanced. The trail faded in and out, unless you got your leg's, head, topographic mapping @ peak you can get more than hurt. Lots of bear sign, one section just after multiple bear sign dangerous fall left and right. Main trail is the safest bet.

It was hard on the first 4 miles and then just flat and beautiful. I totally recommend it...

Beautiful! Good mix of shade and sun. Didn’t see anyone else on the trail at all.

Beautiful views with lots of flowers.

Gorgeous, tough hike.

Great views from parts of the trail. longish, boring return parallel to the road

I LOVE this hike. The views are incredible, the air is clean, traffic light, perfect balance of sun & shade, climbs & walks; it's just exhilarating!
Bonus: lots of geocaches on & off the trails! =]

Super tough hike. Exactly what I was looking for. Stay to the right on the way up.

The trail was excellent this morning. A little smoky. The wildflowers are out in force in the top half of the hike. This is a consistently uphill hike the entire distance, but the views and ambiance from the top are outstanding. The pond itself is quite small, but the surroundings are gorgeous. I went with friends who continued on the bushwhacking scramble up to Mount Rose, but I stopped about half mile beyond the pond. The hike down is rewarding. On clear days, the views of surrounding valleys would sometimes be very good, but it was hazy.

Great views of Mt Rose and Slide Mountain

Great run. Shade about 90% of the way. Steady incline up to Dry Pond then a nice downhill. Definitely doing it several more times.

6-22-18: The hike was beautiful with a lot of inclines. We ran into a bear using the trail on the way down. It, thankfully, ran away. Would hike again with bear mace.

A really wonderful loop trail for a family with three young kids ( under 3 years of age)! Trail was dry, with all the meadows green and lush with flowing rivulets everywhere.

not really a defined trail. had a few wild horses block part of the path and there were lots of birds around but overall wasn't what I expected from reviews here :/ meh
