Great trail. Not too many people. Lots of happy doggies off leash and wandering! My doggie slept great today! Highly recommend going early. I started around 11 and it was toasty on the last mile or so.

Did the loop today. Was super nice. Very few people. Will likely get crowded over the holiday weekend especially with the nicer weather.

Great Hike once we found it! Hard to find the entrance. FYI the GPS will take you around some residential neighborhoods. Just take Joy Lake RD all the way down. There’ll be a parking lot on the left. The trail is across the street. Make sure to keep an eye out on signs during this trail. We got off the trail quite a bit but it was worth it! Climbed up a mountain and saw a beautiful view. Good times!

Nice and easy trail. It also connects with a trail which takes you to a cool little pond. The only downside is that it’s a very popular trail.

This was a hard one. We went up into the mountains too far and got lost. If you go up to the gazebo you can see from the road, it is a short steep hike.

Short nice hike along the creek for the majority of the trail.

Great trail! Partially shaded. Full flow in the stream and lots of flowers in bloom. This was a gorgeous hike.

Omg loved this! Trail easy marked and very beautiful

Hi everyone! Please be advised that this is not the optimal starting point for this particular hike. This route suggests that one parks below the south entrance to Galena Creek Regional Park, in the park's overflow parking. There are several better options which put you a bit closer, within the park, closer to an actual trailhead. I suggest checking out the Church's Pond via the Jones-Whites Creek trail route, within the park's north entrance at 18250 Mt. Rose Highway, for instance. However, starting from this point is an option if you would like to add approximately 1 additional mile to your hike. - Galena Creek Regional Park Ranger Andy Brown.

Did this hike today. It was a bit hard to find the trailhead from the parking lot of Galena park. Once we actually got on the trail it started out with a mild uphill trek. Once we got further up the trail it was definitely on the higher end of "moderate". We are beginner hikers and made it all the way to the pond. I would say it was definitely worth it for the beautiful views and the beauty of the lake. Pack water and snacks and take plenty of breaks on the way up!

Always a good one. I went out and back because I prefer the view, but the loop is nice too. You’ll have to park on Timberline and walk in because the entrance is closed. Started at 7:30am. Only saw 3 people the whole time.

Great trail, perfect for little ones. I love the stream that runs beside the trail.

One of my favorite close-by hikes! It has a few steep sections but otherwise a fairly easy trail with a good balance of sun and shade. Currently there are a ton of beautiful wildflowers. It is a rocky trail so wear sturdy shoes.

The trail is a nice easy lazy stroll. The nature sounds of the birds, wind blowing through the trees and the sound of the river provide a nice peaceful tranquility!

This hike was so peaceful. There was a part that's a steep climb but it's not long and once you're over it, it's much easier. Perfect amount of shade but because of the blooming season there were a lot of bees bit they were occupied by the flowers so we were bothered.

The whole family loved this little hike. It wasn't too hard but definitely rocky in some areas. Perfect amount of shade and I love the water that you see through most of the trail. We had our dog on leash the whole way but some people obviously don't listen to signs so their dogs were off but everything went really smooth.

Great trail! Be cautious of bikers.
