There wasn’t much of a trail but the petros were interesting. I went about 1.5 miles total and about .7 miles to the petros which are on the right of the trail heading west. I would certainly suggest good shoes.

Easy hike but be careful if you bring kids. There is a lot of broken glass at the top.

This is a nice paved loop trail. Lots of wildlife to see.. turtles, ducks, geese, fish, squirrels.. people walking their dogs.. there is also a coffee shop on the east side of the trail on the side where the outlet mall is.... it’s called lighthouse coffee. Great coffee. It’s a very easy walk.

For what it is it is beautiful. Right or walk along the river slow or fast paced. Lots of trees and shade. Trail is mostly well maintained. Many parks along the trail. Easy overall. Shame it stops in Sparks.

It's a nice but crowded walk. If you're looking for a quick and easy stroll in town then this is perfect. Not bad, but nothing too special about it.

This trail was a good desert and canyon hike and I would rate it higher except that often times like others said you would just lose the trail and end up scrambling up and down a dry creek bed over boulders and rocks until you found it again. This wasnt so bad most of the time but you have to keep an eye out for snakes when you do this, luckily I did not see any today but lots of lizards. When the trail is there the hike is great and fairly easy with beautiful views. We did see the Mustang's and got really close to one lone stallion. We didnt go all the way to the petroglyphs, we just ran out of time and with the heat of the day rising we called it a day after about halfway. I suggest if you take this trail take lots of water, start early before it gets too hot and be ready to search for the patu from time to time.

Easy hike to some petroglyphs on the Rock walls near the creek. We stopped after the first petroglyphs where the canyon walls narrowed, didn't look like much was beyond, but we'll never know!

Nice path to watch the seasons change and enjoy wildflowers and butterflies.

Great trail for starters, families with kids, dogs and/or strollers. Easy and safe. If you are biking, look out for the tree ruts that have lifted the asphalt.

Wonderful short trail. Perfect for a quick stroll after supper.

Nice long trail. Super easy. Great for a long secluded bike ride or run with the pups. Pathway was flooded last time I went 07.01.19, hoping to try again, and see if I can do the whole thing this time

Bueatiful beach, nicely maintained and good walk.

If your kids have adventurous spirits and want to go-go-go, this is a good hike. It also splits into a handful of different trails. My 6 year old and 2 year old were leading the way! No shade, so hats and lots of water. We went in the middle of the day but it wasn’t as hot because it was windy.

Minimal shade on the trail, currently had construction. Nice wide, paved path for most of the loop.

Our 5 yr old did great but it was difficult for the 2 yr old. Neat hike though!

I enjoyed most of this trail. There are many places where the trail disappears and many creek crossings. There is so much beauty, however a very rocky terrain taking a toll on your ankles. We never made it all the way to the petroglyphs, turned around after 4 hours, we should have started much earlier. I will say the terror on this trail I experienced was like nothing I’ve ever experienced. There were things I loved, beautiful rocky slopes and outings, beautiful plant life, snakes, beautiful collared lizards and whiptail lizards, many birds, fish, tadpoles, frogs and wild mustangs. However, we did come upon a very large mountain lion which disappeared into the grasses then later on an angry bull kept us held up on a rocky slope until he finally wandered away. I would say start early, bring lots of water and a gun. I certainly wouldn’t want to kill any sort of animal but if necessary to protect our lives, I certainly would have.

Very nice ride.
