this is a beautiful trail! friendly dogs and runners, great walk for our pups. we followed the trail to the campground and were given a wonderful lake and mountain view from the beach! would do again, maybe not in winter (we did this in January) as the windchill was incredible.

I love this drive ! It’s prefect as a get out of the house drive & perfect for quick stops to view beautiful Red Rock Canyon quick stop viewings. I always wrap up a day hike with this drive so recap the adventure. I also like to just drive this loop when I need to see some Mother Nature.

Nice simple trail with a beautiful view of the meadow and mountains. Easy walk!

Easy, flat walk through tunnels with nice views of Lake Mead. We were there on Christmas Eve and only three of the tunnels were open. Seems like a nice place to take the dogs, too.

Nice little getaway only 30 minutes from Vegas! Plenty of short trails and overlooks along the trail to stop and explore along the drive to make it longer! Great access to a plethora of longer trails in Red Rock too.

A nice drive on the way to the Calico Tanks Trail

best views ever! easy paved roads pet friendly. must see!!

Very easy, semi-scenic walk. A beautiful place to spend a couple of hours doing laps. Great with the dogs.

Closed after 3rd tunnel. Easy hike other than that

Great hike. It was challenging and long but with rewarding views at the top. The trail itself was not too bad. Feel free to look at my picture I took here.

Yes, the 3rd tunnel was closed, but we run into a local and she told us we can climb up the side of the tunnel to go over to the other side. Yes, we made it! Although, we saw people just go through the tunnel even it had a "closed" sign. Take your own risk and go to the 5th tunnel. But again, the gate was closed to go further. we gave up from that point. It was a bit of disappointment but got to do a Hoover Dam tour after that instead of looking at it from the hiking trail.

Great!

Beautiful easy trail !

I went last weekend with my GSD. We had a great time. We only walked 7.5 miles out of the possible 20 miles that is listed. Different terrains. The terrain was dirt, sand and rock. I really enjoyed it. There were some people shooting when we went. They were in a different direction then where we were at. We didn’t actually see anybody on the trail. I think this will be a trail that I will enjoy going back to a few times a year.

It is a peaceful trail, not a lot of people. Great place to take the dogs.

pretty easy trail. Be careful of the hunters though! They like to sneak in to the preserve part and shoot the ducks, geese and whatever. I have caught a few in there. Wouldn't be much for them to accidentally shoot one of my dogs or a person...too risky! the company's hands are tied and of course the officers are too far away to catch them. It's so unfortunate for the rest of us. Just be careful and very aware when you go out there.

Pretty walk. There are a few homeless people about. But it is what it is! Most of the time they are minding their own business. Still a pretty walk !

Good walk if you’re using a stroller !

its a pretty good walking trail. Not too kid friendly sometimes because there's ATVs driving around. there's a few different trails so you can shorten or lengthen the walk.

Great drive. Hiked calico trail

Nice casual walk. Awesome panoramic view of the lake.

Trail closed at 3rd tunnel - we did not see any signs that it was closed until we got to that point. Tried from the Hoover dam side the next day and again there were no signs that the trail was closed. We hiked to the first tunnel and found the gates closed so could go no further. Terrible communication from the park service.

Easy , paved , beautiful . Watch for young boogaloos on their foot scooters .
