This is a very convenient trail that has no road noise, which is high on my hope list. Wasn't the first one on the trail by any means, but was able to see a couple of coyotes. Biggest drawback of the trail is the dog owners assuming that everyone enjoys strange animals running at them full speed.

nice.
shady.
lotsa water for the dogs.
easy.
pleasant.

*easy grade.
*great shade.
*lotsa water for the dogs.
*unpopulated on an "off" day ( NOT on sat/sun/holiday).
*quiet.

It is worth your time. Good exercise . My friend and I spent almost 3 hours there. It will be smart if you bring your snacks and enough water with you. It doesn't hurt to bring your camera with you.

took my kids with me, & they loved it!! We went sunday morning at 9 & the people were scarce; on our way back is when the heavy foot traffic began. I recommend heading out early to beat the heat.

Awesome first time hikers trail!!!!!

Good times! Good trail all the way up. Nice cold mountain water at the falls! I’ll be doing this one again for sure.

Off road driving should be removed from this trails description. It is not permitted and there are boulders at the the trailhead preventing vehicles from entering.

Gorgeous hike. Less traffic on weekdays and colder days.

The trail is close to Reno with easy access. However, there is highway noise for most of the hike. Also, once you get up to the flume level, it is largely a flat and boring hike.

fun trail!nice little steep hills, one side has loose rocks but the other is clear and open, good for beginners!

Made for a great afternoon hike

It was thundering and raining for our hike today - we enjoyed it. Saw very few other hikers, perhaps due to rain.

Love it

This is a very large section of the Tahoe Rim Trail. I started off early in the morning and was finished just as the heat of the day was full on. Christopher's Loop is marked as "Sand Harbor Overlook" by signs on the trail. This whole section is very well marked on the trail as to just where the TRT is, sometimes determining it looking at various online maps makes it somewhat questionable. They've done a great job with this section!

We were in town for business and this hike was 15 minutes from the hotel. A 1/2 mile in all man-made sounds end and all you hear are birds and the river. The last mile provides shade and temperature dropped 20 degrees. The waterfall at the end was a nice prize for making there.

This trail is 50 feet from our house and is a great paved asphalt trail. It has many sitting benches along the trail, most under trees for shade and it also goes along the backside of many nice homes and condos. Damonte Park is also right along the trail and the family and I love to ride our bikes around the trail, stopping off at the park.

It was fun kinda hard at first but going up but after it was awesome views. Be careful tho we found a rattle snake close to the houses by the little library!!!!!

This trail is garbage. Over crowded, 2/3 of it is just up hill desert then you can arrive to the basic bitch selfie waterfall where your sure to find some bro tanks and hydro flasks. Make sure you write the proper hash tags you cunts. #wonderlust #getoutdoors . Oh and fat people you won’t even make it to the tree line the herd of cattle really thins about 1/2 way up.

nice easy trail and beautiful view at the end.

Easy to get lost on the way back cause of all the side trails, but overall great hike really felt it in the calves.

It was a fun trail. It was a bit narrow for a full size truck, but still doable. I was disappointed that Hunter Lake was a green field. I would do it again in the spring.

A great hike for both people and dogs. We were thankful for the shade and the water.

This trail was more difficult than moderate in my opinion. It was also 6.6 miles and not 6.3. It is a gorgeous trail full of surprises. The views close to the top are breathtaking! I definitely wished I could have jumped in the pond due to the heat but the water looked pretty gross. I will be doing this trail again in fall when it cools down a bit.

Did the trial in mid July. Very fun course, challenging at times depending on what you’re driving but very scenic. I have a 2016 DCSB Tacoma with 33” bfg’s and a locking rear differential. At some parts it definitely sped up the trail with the diff lock but I think an expert ended person could do it without. 4wd a must, I’d say about 12” of ground clearance is recommended.

Surprisingly nice little walk through the Damonte Ranch Wetlands. This easy 3 mile paved trail is a great spot for birding. Also, the best playground I've found in town would make it a great place to bring the kiddos.

I did this trail again today, and didn't pass even one other person! It took me 7 hours up and back, and that was only stopping for a few photos at the lake- no breaks! I was surprised that there is still a little water in the lake, and will post photos. The trail is in decent shape at the moment, no mud or snow, but this is a pretty strenuous hike, I must admit! One that I will likely do annually, but pushes my limits to do more often. There were many deer in the upper elevations, but thankfully no bears today!

Definitely felt out of the city with amazing views, took the South route but didn’t make it to the peak due to the trail being washed out.

It’s for the most part all up I have done this one several times always great but it feels like it never ends
