Amazing views! Uphill all the way there but downhill all the way back. There are historical signs to read and bench’s to rest on... even a picnic table.

Nice simple trail with a beautiful view of the meadow and mountains. Easy walk!

Great for sunrises over Crystal Bay and for when family visits. Interesting historical information makes it a more engaging trail.

Easy, mostly paved walk with several other paths that meander throughout the area. Easy to get to, free parking, restrooms.

Amazing!

Very easy, semi-scenic walk. A beautiful place to spend a couple of hours doing laps. Great with the dogs.

Awesome, short hike with great views. There was a lot of packed snow on the route, but it is paved the whole way. Wasn't crowded when we went, and there was plenty of parking along the street (before the gate).

Great place to walk the dog, or go for a jog. lots of dog poop on the side of the path though, which is weird cause there are trash cans and bag dispensers.

Good walk for children. It is uphill, but doable for our 7- and 4-year olds. The view of Lake Tahoe once you are up the hill is spectacular. It is paved all the way.

Pretty walk. There are a few homeless people about. But it is what it is! Most of the time they are minding their own business. Still a pretty walk !

Good walk if you’re using a stroller !

Loved this little short hike. It was a great introduction to my mom’s first visit to Tahoe region. The kids did great as it was a short one. Highly recommend it!

When it said it's used for hiking and trail running i didn't expect it to be in a neighborhood. I thought it would be more trails. What we did was a loop on the sidewalk. I did get my exercise, just not how i thought.

Super easy with nice views. Lin Cotton’s trail was a bonus, with lots of photo opportunities.

Wide, paved road. No obvious trailhead from the road. You just figure out a place to park alongside the road in. We are average fitness and 60ish years old; we just took it slow and took breaks so that our lungs could catch up. A good short hike for the first day at a high altitude! Also: amazing views!

A nice urban walk Well planned and heavy use for a Monday afternoon in October. Our dogs really enjoyed it.

Very relaxing and pleasant! Amazing views!

The trail is paved. The amazing 240+ degree views of the lake are worth this quick hike.

This is a fairly steep but rewarding "up." We like to walk fast, but unless you're acclimated to altitude, go slow. We loved the views from all directions, the little loop at the top with history. Nice benches to enjoy the payoff from the walk. Definitely recommend.

Great family walk

We went on this beautiful walk at sunset and we were not disappointed! It's stroller friendly, so we pushed our one year-old in the stroller and our four year-old walked! The views are amazing and it's a beautiful walk right on the lake.

Nice for a morning or evening walk ...surprisingly quiet.

Beautiful view (I went mid-August) regardless of the weather. Doesn’t get much better than a day with no clouds and high 70 degree weather. Takes about 20 minutes at a slow walk to get to a view of south lake, and then a 15-20 minute slow walk without an incline that looks over Carnelian Bay. Great little walk for families and people who want a great selfie photo.
