love to hike this trail with our dogs!

on Fletcher Canyon Trail

Nice trail with lots of shade. During summer would recommend this for a morning hike.

This is an easy hike, not moderate. It's a good beginner trail or if you just want to do something easy; and see the Vegas views at the top.

Nice easy hike. Good for people who are trail runners. The trail can have high traffic, since it's a popular one.

Easy to start off.

The trailhead is easy to miss as it's basically a pull off area right next to the road. The beginning of the trail is well marked and easy to follow. A sign says it's a 1.5 mile in and out trail. I'm not sure where the trail actually ends. It went from wide enough for two people to more and more narrow. Eventually I think we were blazing our own trail. The well defined portion of the trail was long enough that you could still get a nice walk in without having to make your own trail. We walked all the way to the base of the mountain. Despite the lack of defined trail, I would certainly give this trail again.

Great trail. Some inclines, but not too gravelly or potentially muddy. Lots of flats to counter the inclines on the ascent. Not as "Mountain View Scenic" as Mary Jane or Trail Canyon, but nice for those who like a look at the flora. Hundreds of beautiful pine cones on our hike.

We love this hike. It is pretty easy, quick and has great views.

My first hike and it was magical! Me and my 2 friends went past the waterfall to a cave above it and could see the entire valley! I would recommend this to anyone.

Great summer hike in Vegas area

I live minutes away so I’ve gotten a chance to hike this trail numerous times. I love it. It’s not too close to the city, but not too far either. You get an amazing view of Las Vegas and it’s a fairly easy trail. There’s a trail that faces the city, which is a more inclined trail and will have you out of breathe for a minute. But not anything too bad. The trail on the other side is perfect if you want an easy and fast trail. There is also the actually Lone Mountain Park which is right there. It’s a nice park, not too crowded, has a basketball courts, playgrounds, and a large grass area and walking/biking trail. I absolutely love Lone Mountain.

I did this hike with my husband and our labrador. Its a lovely moderate hike. I there are some areas (with the switchbacks) that it is hard to see the trail and pretty rocky, but you will not get lost. The falls are a beautiful spot to rest and enjoy the view.

Trail started off kinda boring, but once you get up to the boulders that you have to scramble up and get up the rope ladder, the trail was awesome. We hiked all the way to the stream up top. Great hike, very surprised. We ended up going over 1 mike further than where the trail map ended.

Simply awesome to climb. Views were amazing however, Vegas was a bit smogged over but that did not take away from the experience.

Incline up the hills weren't to bad but the offroad rocks at the start are a bit of a pain to walk. Only one sign letting you know you're still on the path. Couple of extra markers would be nice. Almost turned around because I wasn't sure if I was on the correct path.

I did this hike with my almost two year old. I carried her some of the way. Up by the waterfall it gets a little tricky with a little one as I didn’t want her to fall or me fall while helping her. It was a great hike though. I would do it again.

Súper súper nice walk. For my fiancé and I

Lots of street art, I wouldn’t go too late, a lot of sketchy individuals

Nice little huff if wearing a babe. Would recommend using trekking poles if you’re wearing a kid carrier as there are a lot of loose rocks and can be a little treacherous on the way down.

Great exercise. I recommend going in the morning so the switchbacks are in the shade.

This hike was really fun. I took my six-year-old grandson and we were so excited when we found the first mine. When you arrive to the end of the trail and there is a metal sign posted on the big tree in front of you saying the owner of the mind you’re going to go right to get to the first mine which is a short distance. My understanding is the second mine is further up but you have to crossover a lot of debris and we chose not to do that. On the next trip we’re going to veer to the left at the mine sign on the tree
and follow the second spring up.

Excellent trail if you’re just starting back hiking. Lovely views and plenty of shade spots. Good for dogs as well. Would definitely do this again!

Excellent hike. Be prepared with lots of water, especially during the summer months; drink plenty before. Fun scrambling/boldering on parts of the hike. Beautiful view at the top, be sure to go to the left after going through the tank.

Great trail

Very easy hike and has water in the spring time. My boys (7 and 5) had a blast on this one.

We loved this hike. It is definitely worth going to the top to see the caves and a very small waterfall. I think it may be longer then the 2.5 miles posted, more like 5 round trip but I didn't track it.

amazing views over the valley.

We loved the hike. Its fairly easy and not too strenuous. Plenty of shade and the canyon is wonderful. the walk back has great canyon views.

We enjoyed the trail but it started pouring rain on us and thundering so we ended up freezing but we would recommend it. :)
