Holy cow. You gotta WORK for this one! Made it to the arch, but wasn't able to go any further due to a thunderstorm that closed in on us fast as we traversed up the crack below the arch. Just enough time to get up, take a few pics, and get back down. Started pouring just after we climbed back out of the final chute on the return. Will definitely be coming back to summit.... Two things: 1- I've got a stock Ford F150 with BFG KO2 and made it 2 miles into Rocky Gap Road without a problem. Making it to the TH with factory clearance could be an issue, but it's possible to take off at LEAST 4-5 miles round trip in a stock vehicle, driving carefully. 2- the more "technical" portions of the hike (last half mile) feel really sketchy - worse than they really are. If you're uncomfortable outside of the crack on the excited face, you can crab your way up/down the crack slowly and safely. Total stats today: 12.1M, 3,562 elevation gain (parked truck 2mi. approx up Rocky Gap, to the arch - not summit), and 6h27m r/t. Good luck!

Great little getaway from Vegas in Vegas! Lots of wildlife and some occasional shade and water to look at but mostly a super sunny walk. Pretty scenery and views 75% of the time, other 25% is burnt.

Great trail for mountain biking and getting lost in the desert. Take plenty of water and snacks. Trust me you could easily get lost. But thankfully I did, saw some beautiful scenery with a great view of the strip.

I really liked this trail. No shade, so def wear a hat and take lots of water.

Great hike, the path itself is paved and only 1.6 miles. Very easy. Just make sure you take lots of water it's hot out there.

Great hike with a rewarding view and a different perspective of the Las Vegas strip!

My family and I didn’t really dig this area. It was ‘meh’ for sure. There are more beautiful places to just take a walk around our city.

Amazing walk!!! The paved trails where very easy to walk!!! Loved it!!! I look forward to going back. There is so many trails! Paved and dirt trails.

I Love this hike.

A very nice walk

Easy trail...didn't see any wildlife but some birds. The area seems full of dead plants and trees. Sad to see people don't know how to clean up after themselves or their dogs.

you can go in So many directions. you will find great views and and meet great people along the way.

Very easy trail with great interactions with some wildlife. It’s a very cool place for being in the middle of the desert valley!

Amazing that all these beautiful trails are so close to Vegas. Stunning views everywhere if you can appreciate the rugged, rocky formations. A very serene yet challenging hike in late November.

I love this place. Nice and peaceful vibe. It does need more green, imo. But, overall really nice.

Nice easy walk. Construction going on which takes away from some of the enjoyment.

this could be one of my most favorite trails I've done. only down side is lost the trail a few times. which led to awsome adventures. I almost preferred being off the trail. I went in February and the weather was perfect. But once that sun goes down grab a sweater.

Easy hiking. Great for all ages with a variety of wildlife to see.

Scramble fest! If you start from the trail head, you will have plenty of energy for the final climb to the arch and summit. Starting from the parking lot adds more miles, albeit beautiful miles, to your hike.
Doing this one solo may not have been such a good idea given my limited climbing skills. Turned around at the 2nd chute. All I think about is completing this hike. I will be back..... with a friend at least.

Great place!
We saw cranes, ducks and lots of birds!

love this place. always new paths.

I love this park. It’s very clean and easy to get around. It’s a great place to spend a day just wondering around and watching all the critters. No dogs allowed and no feeding the wildlife.
