Completed on 3/17/19. Beautiful views at the end. There are a lot of different tracks in the snow which all get you to the same place. Walking there it was pretty sparse in terms of people. At the ridge there were a lot of large groups of people. I wouldn’t rate this as moderate for an experienced hiker. There is just one brief incline at the end.

Great place to snowshoe right in Stateline. Trail leads you through a beautiful meadow and forest & ends beach front on the Lake, however it’s a nasty cesspool of dog crap. I can believe theres so many irresponsible dog owners in one place.

My husband and I decided to snowshoe this trail since Eagle Lake trail in Emerald Bay was accessible due to road closure. We both glad we did. Due to the storm, we only saw several groups on the trail. We loved it! Everything was covered in snow, it's so pretty. We had to rely on the tracks of fellow hikers and the map here to make sure we were on the right track. When we reached Nevada Beach, of course all we can see was gray due to heavy snow. Despite that, we will still snowshoe here again especially when the sun is out.

My first snowshoeing hike. Being a fluffy guy (275lbs and 5'8.5") I can say this hike was moderately difficult. Had to stop a few times to catch my breath but worth it when you reach the top. Great place for taking pictures. I would recommend this to others.

This is a nice trail in town that goes down to the beach. The problem is it is very trafficked. If you can go at an off time, we recommend doing that.

Just completed this walk in the snow. My partner and I decided to walk without snowshoes, since some of the trail was visible. A beautiful walk with minimal traffic mid week. Wonder panoramic views of the lake. Sorry to see a new resort being built. Easy walk in the summer.

this is a beautiful trail! friendly dogs and runners, great walk for our pups. we followed the trail to the campground and were given a wonderful lake and mountain view from the beach! would do again, maybe not in winter (we did this in January) as the windchill was incredible.

What a magical day!! Went up to see if we could find those sweet little chickadees and we were not disappointed! 5 minutes into the trail the little guys were all over the trail eating seed out of all of our hands! We were there around 11:30, came back a short time later and they were all gone. Snow was packed enough to hike... did sink in a few times, but it was just fine! Snowshoes not necessary if you’re looking for adventure!

Another hike that took place before this app?website was up and running. I loved this experience. it was great for higher elevation training since you stay well above 8 grand the entire time. I remember stunning views of Lake Tahoe, Washoe Valley and a glimmer of Reno. Well worth the effort!

We went Saturday 12/29 and arrived at 2:00pm Lots of cars were parked along the highway but once we got on the trail there was plenty of space between hikers.

A beautiful hike (or snowshoe)!

Beautiful view. Worth the steep incline toward the end.

this is the easiest over 10,000 feet in the Tahoe areai have done 4 others that are harder

Beautiful snowshoeing! Kind of wandered until we found the ridge but even so, it was a beautiful hike and totally worth the extra mile or so we added to it. Gorgeous views of Tahoe. Bring bird seed! We had luck and birds ate out of our hands!

Beautiful easy trail !

Beautiful weather! I trail ran/hiked this peak in 3 hours. Ran the flat non-rocky parts and hiked the steepest parts. This is a well marked trail and there were a lot of people (and dogs) on the trail. The waterfall was partially frozen as were some of the little stream crossings. There was patching snow on the trail above the tree line just before I reached the summit. It was easily avoidable and didn’t bother me at all in my running shoes. Didn’t see a summit box, but there was a USGS summit marker on a large rock. Great trail. Would do this one again. November 17, 2018.

Awesome awesome

Time this trail accordingly as it will be covered in snow during winter/spring. This is my go to place for hiking. Its a nice hike with shaded trees. There is a nice resting spot next to a waterfall. The views are stunning looking over Reno and of course Lake Tahoe. Recommend doing this hike in light summer/fall for the best weather.

Great hike with great views. The last mile is a bit of a climb but well worth it.

Gotta love loop hikes! Even without the trip to the summit this is an excellent hike. Take the brand-new Tahoe Rim Trail section from the top of the waterfall for an added workout (instead of dropping into the valley before getting to the junction that leads to the top of Mt. Rose) (on this map).
Also, be aware that there is a new cut-off from the "Rest Stop to Relay" trail to the Relay Peak Trail at about .7 miles from the trailhead. (NOT on this map, or the one at the trailhead)). You'll still get where you're going, but it's a little confusing.

Beautiful hike with panoramic views of Lake Tahoe at every turn. On this day it was pretty windy It had to be at least 25 mph winds I felt like I was gonna blow away craziest wind I’ve experienced
