Our group chose this trail with the intention to hike, but the trail was easy enough that we were able to walk leisurely in a short amount of time. We found benches placed strategically in different areas, perhaps as resting spots for older hikers and to enjoy the surrounding views. Light traffic, inner city trail. Short enough to squeeze in as a daily work out schedule after work hours especially, if you don't want to deal with rush hour traffic. There's also a small park at bottom of the trail with clean public restrooms. No trees for shade so summer walks, jogging and running can be very hot in summer time.

Great 2 mile loop for a walk or easy run. All paved and around the water. It’s a regular pitstop for me.

A decent urban walk. It is very easy and can be done on either the sidewalks or on the sand/gravel train slightly closer to the lake. The lake is pretty and his home to many birds. I saw both baby ducks and geese.

This was an easy trail. Enjoyed the ducks, turtles and all the birds. Any dogs we encountered, were on leashes.

Good gravel, circular path that was perfect for our dogs! 360 views. I will keep coming back because it’s perfect for my dogs.

Running short on time, but wasn't ready to head off to work. This trail is great that it's so easy to access, not a whole lot of people, good distance from housing and has a good incline that you can get into. Nice view from the top.

Great walk with amazing views. I wouldn’t call it a hike. It’s a circular gravel path. My dog loved it. Only gave it 4 stars because you can’t really escape the street noise and a lot of the views are industrial.

I chose this trail for my Sunday Morning walk due to the recent snow. Didn't want to chance the mud before going to work. The trail had ice in some of the shaded portions, but with all of the footsteps it was never too slippery. Only a few others out this morning, so it was fairly pleasant.

Easy, pleasant walk. Friday afternoon - quite a few people and dogs on the trail. Lots of ducks and birds, along with their droppings. Best to stay on paved walk to avoid droppings.

Easy to squeeze in before work trail. Quiet on a cold Sunday morning. If you leave the main trail, plan on cleaning your shoes before you get back in your car.

Not really my idea of a hiking trail. It's on the list; so....

Nice in town trail. Kind of short, so it's easy to squeeze in.

A nice way to get in a quick on-road run then off-road run (the VA Lake loop) if staying in or around the Peppermill Casino. The Lake is nice. Get out early before it gets too hot.

Good for walking, relaxing and great with the littles with stroller!

Good place for a walk or trail run. I take my dog here for a morning walk or run a couple times weekly.

Enjoyable city walk near a lake and nicely kept park. No bike rule is a bummer though.
Enjoyed listening to the gulls and ravens. .
