I've done it twice and I don't appreciate the garbage in the cave. Those afraid of heights may have a difficult time. it's not easy to find if you haven't been before. Probably wont be back.

Good up and back hike. you can break off to Knoll loop which is very easy trail but kind of hard to follow without the GPX downloaded to guide you.

That was one hot ride! Hit the trail by 6:30AM / 85 degrees and completed the trail at 9:30AM / 91 degrees. Was in Vegas for my nephews wedding. I’m not a gambler so I went mountain biking.

The colors were beautiful! I didn’t really think I was going to enjoy it. Glad I gave it a shot.

Made props to all of you desert mountain bikers! A lot of the trail was lose rock. I’ve riding on it plenty of times on sections in Colorado. But it’s usually not 85% of the trail.

Now I’ve got the bug to go back. Next time I think I’ll try to find a trail around the Valley of Fire.

Happy Riding!

First time on this trail. Great for beginners, has it's challenging moments, but overall a great ride and workout!

A nice ride. Preferred route is counter clockwise.

Thoroughly enjoyable and easy
A bit difficult to find the start of the trail or maybe I’m just stupid! Parking was also a pain.
Please be careful - the heat even in the morning is overbearing at points. Take plenty of water and sunscreen.

First time riding in the desert so I can"t give it a 5 ("as good as it gets"),but it was a great ride. Excellent desert scenery, good flow, some degree of technical riding amidst some deceptively difficult climbs.
I crashed and burned early on my second loop,so I had to walk out, but I will be back!

As of January 2018 it is now $10 to enter the park. No discount for Nevada residents.
This is a wonderful trail, a bit muddy in places due to the overnight rain but still very passable. A little elevation gain and the need to watch your footing due to rocks on the trail but otherwise an easy stroll with fantastic rocky mountain views.

We did a guided night hike and it was awesome.

Great views! We bomb voyage, it has a better vantage point. 1,500ft elevation instead of 1000ft.

Took a wrong turn at Albuquerque so decided to go ahead and follow Boneshaker around to Muffin Ridge and then back down Caren Canyon. Excellent view of the Strip at the top and plenty of boulders to sit on and enjoy. If you have Sprint, there is no service along this trail until you reach the top. I’ll be bringing my iPod next time for tunes

This trail looks more intimidating than it is. It was nice to change things up with a bit of scrambling. I would definitely recommend walking sticks to help maneuver around slight obstacles on this trail.

This trail has a 4 Star view and it’s a pretty view of the Las Vegas. It’s trail conditions are 50/50. Like many of the trail on the east side of blue diamond road they are not well maintained. You can easily get rerouted or lost from your original journey. Often times the trails here are not worn and you loose site of them. A friend of ours uses this trail as a workout trail and it’s got a good steep ascend for a short distance. It’s 100% in the sun and highly recommend doing this in the winter early spring months to avoid overexposure to the heat and sun.

It was beautiful!

7200 ft
spectacular scenery. .

A nice afternoon hike. Not too much of an elevation change. Great if you are a bit out of shape. It’s fun taking the tour of the old ranch house too!!

Easy hike. Awesome landscapes

Beautiful trail, kid and dog friendly. great for all ages, younger children may need a little help in areas. You do cross a stream in the middle and there is also a halfway mark if You only want to do a 1mile instead of 2miles. The old houses, barns and cows are fun to look at towards the end of the trail.

I put this trail together because I needed something a little more difficult than any one trail in Red Rock could offer. I do recommend going counter clockwise when leaving the visitors center that way you can knock out Turtlehead Peak early on.

Wow! Amazing views of our beautiful Las Vegas from here!

Had a great time on this trail. Definitely has some rough terrain but still had a blast

No water or flowers (early November) and easy to confuse the trails, but well worth the cost to enter ($9 for non-residents, $7 for Nevadans). Very pretty scenery and fairly easy, though I would say easy-moderate due to some moderate incline/decline spots

Did 1/2 of Western Trail and all of The Hurl. Nice 6 mile hike.

Nice easy relaxing hike. Great springtime flower hike.

It was a nice little hike. My almost 3 year old walked it herself only taking 3 snack breaks (her legs are small). The scenery was beautiful and that’s what made it worth it. The lake was dried up, and the river was gone except for a small trickle of water. There are old little houses you can take a tour of that you have to pass to get to the trailhead. I’m glad we went, but I don’t see us going back.

Great trail...I'm a beginner and 49 years old. I walked the Landmine Loop in just under 4 hours.

It's actually called the Sandstone Canyon Loop when you get into Spring Mountain Ranch and look at the map. It's a relatively easy trail, half is a fairly wide open path. The other half, if you choose to go all the way around the loop that crosses the wash, is a much narrower dirt trail. it's not that hard to see, it's lined with small white rocks on the sides. There is only one sign, however, that shows you where to take the right-hand fork to go counter-clockwise, as opposed to going around clockwise. This is a typical desert hike, lots of little scrubby brushes, Joshua trees, cholla cactus. The rocks and mountains are gorgeous, I've posted pictures. I enjoyed this hike so much, that I bought an annual pass. Looking forward to exploring the other hikes. Compared to Red Rock, there are more hikes that are rated easy.
