Headed out for a chilly jog with Team RWB Omaha!
A nice paved path, plenty wide for opposing traffic. About 3.3 miles around. Very little elevation. The views are pleasant - overlooking Walnut Creek Lake, waterfowl resting en route to a warmer, more southern home. The southern reservoir was frozen and locals were ice fishing... waving as we jogged past. The recreation is in a low-lying area between suburban neighborhoods, with paths connecting it to Papillion-LaVista South High School, and SumTur Amphitheater. Plenty of parking!

This trail is actually The Bellevue Loop Trail, and is part of the Omaha metro area's "Paths of Discovery!"

I rucked an out-and-back (13.1 miles round-trip), south from Haworth Park. I absolutely love that the metro area invested in a path/trail network, but this stretch is deliriously boring. Painfully F.L.A.T. (27 feet of elevation), no benches, nearly zero trees and shade. That said, the views are... pleasant... corn fields, mostly. And you're within an easy line of sight to the Offutt AFB pattern. Bring a friend, music, or audio book!

Hiked the loop with my 5 and 3 year old. Great views!

My favorite trail at the Monument. Been hiking it for over 50 years. Their has been a lot of changes during that time. In my youth we ran/jogged up and back. Now I choose to walk one way or the other but not both ways the same day.

Great little trail on top of Scottsbluff National Monument. Great views of surrounding bluffs and the surrounding area. Great flowers and plants depending on time of year. I try to make it there whenever we visit family in the area.

A very nice and well kept paved path. 3 miles around the whole thing. Birding wise it's good for field birds and sparrows in the fall/winter. Some migrants through the spring. I've had over 150 species there.

So happy to have this trail so close to home! I walk almost everyday with my dog.

Done this as an out and back now 8 times this fall. Best done when wind is not either from the north or south as that makes it a long drag into the wind. Haven't been able to do the full extended trail so far due to the flooding near the river so only managed a 32 mile out and back. Trail gets busy in the city sections at the weekend so this is probably a time to avoid it if biking. The open nature of the trail is fine this time of year as there is not much by way of fallen branches on the trail which could cause punctures.

This is a quiet trail tucked in the middle of the city. I enjoy taking my dog for a run here year round. The trail is great whenever there is rain, sun, or snow because it's mostly covered by trees. The one issue I have is parking your car there will leave you at risk for a break-in. Thieves love the secluded parking lot on the north side. Consider parking where it's more populated.

Stretch your legs and enjoy the view.

I’ve been on this trail 3 times so far. It circles the lake and is very peaceful. It’s pretty well maintained throughout all seasons. There was a bit of ice last year in winter months. I love that it is a perfect 5k loop. This is my go to trail this far.

Walked with my hubby this morning, beautiful trail
I would suggest signs for distance and side trails.

Beautiful scenery and just a really nicely maintained trail that almost anyone could walk.

Once we got to the top, the views of the surrounding valleys were amazing!

All paved, but there's an actual dirt trail path in the Eastern tree line between Woolworth and Martha, separated by Center. It's the closest you'll get to a trail in midtown.

Boring and short. Views of the city.

Nice paved trail, very accessible, easy. The visitor center is also very nice.

We walk this trail at least three times a week. We have seen deer, turkey, turtles etc beautiful place to walk.

Nice area for an easy walk.

With the addition of Flanagan Lake Park this multipurpose trail is tops in Omaha; especially with the hopes for more tree plantings for shade around the lake

Nice paved trail. Once you leave the park, there is little shade, so plan accordingly.

I have been walking this trail for many years. It is a concrete trail that is very well maintained. It is beautiful in the evenings and is often quite busy. There is not a lot of shade but the trees and vegetation have grown in nicely over the years. Water fowl is frequently seen here and I saw a mink the other day. There are two parking lots for access. This is a family-friendly lake, accommodating strollers and wheelchairs. It is a long walk around for a small child but it’s an easy walk with only slight elevation changes. One of the best things about this lake is that except for a handful of houses, housing is not close to the water. This is a very safe location and moonlight walks are highly encouraged!

I started in Millard and ran to the beginning of the trail near Hefflinger Park then back to Millard. There was a moderate amount of traffic so I did not feel isolated too much. My only “meh” part is that the bike riders come through very fast and not all of them announce themselves when coming up behind you. So be aware and don’t wear headphones that block out noise around you. Aside from this, the trail is well maintained, marked clearly and easy to access from multiple points. I’m looking forward to running it again.

Lincoln has many and great trails throughout the city, for walking, running, and biking, definitely a plus. Well maintained, nice views, and many parks along the way.

Love this trail, I walk it every day. Very peaceful and almost completely shaded from Woolworth south to Martha. Wide concrete trail that is excellent for bikers, walkers and runners. If you like birdwatching, you will see plenty. Only caution is that this is partly in a ravine, so on hot days don’t expect a lot of breeze.

I run this every once in a while, beautiful for being in the middle of town and easy- good for the whole family. Paved road around a lake, moderate traffic

Our family enjoyed this trail. Paved, with some seating areas along the way that provide some shade. That was nice considering there are no trees on this portion of the plains and the day we did this hike it was 105 degrees. The fossil hill is very interesting to see. Never crowded, and the views of the rolling plains are beautiful. Away from the trail, make sure you go into the visitors center to view the Vault of Native American artifacts that were handed down to people who settled the land. It's an incredible collection

This trail came up in a hiking search and I’m not sure why. I personally like hiking spots to be a little more secluded, and this park is literally right in the middle of a neighborhood. The lake was pretty and the path is flat and well maintained. Maybe a better spot for riding or just for a leisurely walk. Would be a nice spot to walk with a date or friend.

Great place to take a walk! Easy paved path with scenic views of the lake and surrounding forest. Also seems like a great place to ride your bike if you like that since the path is very smooth and flat. Not sure why it’s labeled moderate, it was easy. But some of the curves may be more difficult on a bike. Will have to do the full loop around the lake sometime.

Will definitely do it again

Great well maintained trail paved the whole way. Go early, say 6:30 in morning when cool. Take a light jacket
