Wouldn’t consider it hiking but it is a beautiful peace of architecture. Areas on either side of the river are very well maintained.

Good morning ride until fire blow out. Replaced quickly and within 100yds another blow out. Further investigation found the tire itself had a tear so had to run with the bike to just get a partial finish before being picked up... great morning for a rode though and not too crowded this early 0630-0730ish

Not too bad.

This is one of my favorite place to take my young children. This is a short trail but it is the perfect size for a quick outing. You can usually still hear the traffic from Maple but this hidden gem is a great get away from the hustle and bustle of the city if you need a break but dont have the time to head to one of the state parks

I’m curious how AllTrails picks their designated paths in areas where many trails intersect. While the off-trail warning could be beneficial if you were in a wilderness area, it’s pretty ridiculous when you’re actually on a marked trail included on the alltrails map, but simply not part of the arbitrary path selected for you. But that’s about the app, not the trail- which is a pretty standard hike through midwestern deciduous forest. Right now (late April) is a good time of year because of songbird migration. A good hike on a nice spring day.

Easy and fun for little hikers! Lots of nature, even caught glimpses of redwing blackbird and oriel.

Impossible to get a full sense of the trail, as the river-adjacent portion is closed- presumably still from spring 2019 flooding. Would be nice if Fontenelle would report closures like this somehow. The 2 miles which remain open are forested like the rest of the trails. We did see a Pileated woodpecker return to the forest from foraging on some giant snags killed by the flood.

I've taken about half of this trail, skipping the portion that goes through the campground. It's not the most exciting of trails and there's a lot of horse poop on the trails so that can be a pain.

Not much of a trail for walking, but it's serene and pretty with a lot of nature to see. The visitor center is quaint and they have interesting nature talks once in awhile. A great place to get a respite from the city.

Another park I've hiked around in quite a bit. Nice variety of trails, but there's just not much of them. You'll have to go elsewhere for long hikes.

I make a loop of this trail from my house. It's my preferred city walk.

I've walked the Arboretum numerous times throughout the years, and it's a great little place in the city to get a partial nature walk in. If you take the full loop, you get about 9/10 of a mile, so I usually walk it four or five times to get a nice workout. I miss the bench they had at the top of the hill, though.

Crowded due to coronavirus, everyone seems to be on this trail. It’s narrow and kind of rough for road bikes.

Easy, fun for visitors. Quite busy on good weather days. Fun to complete the walk along the river on either NE or Iowa side.

My favorite Omaha trails to train on. Best time is in late winter/early spring before everything blooms and after at least a week of no precipitation. It's beautiful when the plants and trees bloom, but that's when the bugs and spiders come out. And precipitation makes for a muddy, unrunnable mess. But under the right conditions, bring a cooler and spend a day here.

A park with something for everyone. Completely paved trail with bridge that crosses busy Dodge street. Nice getaway in the middle of the city. Often busy with families, runners, dog walkers, and every other category.

Beautifully maintained trail. Feel secluded when on certain parts - away from busyness of the city.

Wind advisory today! Still a rewarding and exhilarating experience. Moderate difficulty but that was mostly due to high winds.
