This is a lovely walk on a well-kept, level trail. Trail is good for all age levels, accommodates strollers, and would be a great place for walking dogs. However, keep your dog on a leash and be on the lookout because it is heavily used by bikes. I walked on a Sunday morning at 11 am, and there were many cyclists and a few walkers. I didn’t see anyone running but I think it would be a good trail for that activity. My one complaint (hence three stars) is that when I crossed the bridge over the Platte going south, there were no trail continuation markers. This was very confusing because there are roads and railroad tracks that converge at this point. The trail could use better markings in general because I wasn’t sure if I was walking on private property in several places. I walked the part of the trail by Schramm State Park near Louisville. I will definitely try other parts of this scenic and tranquil trail!

Fun and fast crushed limestone rail-trail. Start on the UNL campus and this becomes a very nice >50 mile out and back.

Wonderful trail system in (practically) my backyard! Lots of mosquitoes and ticks right now (July) but worth the annoyance.

Lincoln has many and great trails throughout the city, for walking, running, and biking, definitely a plus. Well maintained, nice views, and many parks along the way.

Too many streets to cross from my home to the trail head. That’s why I gave it 3 stars otherwise ok

This is my favorite trail to run, make sure you wear bug spray, LOTS of mosquitos and ticks(if you beer off trail) When I've brought my dog home he's had a couple ticks even with advantix, so if I go to this trail I usually don't bring my dog. It's a good loop trail about 2.2 miles and you can switch directions and change it up.

Road part of this trail for the first time today as a newbie cycler. It was a lot of fun and had some small hills, sharp turns, tree roots, etc that made it an excellent adventure. I can’t wait to get back but first my noodle legs need to recuperate..

Much longer trail than this map indicates, and a good way to ride from downtown to 88th and Highway 2. Thank you, city government, for repaving along Normal and 70th.

Nice trails close to where I am in Lincoln.

I live along the MOPAC trail & love how easily accessible it is from our home. The trail is crushed limestone, so it does have a tendency of being muddy after it rains.

The trail runs along the old railroad line, through some densely wooded areas & through a number of towns.

The ride from the trailhead in Lincoln out to Eagle is a nice ride & a very popular ride on Tuesdays from April to October. The park in Eagle, right off the trail, offers a nice resting area with modern restrooms & a drinking fountain.

Great trails, forestry, off trails and scenery! But I always worry that I won't find my way back to my car, but that just makes it more of an adventure :-)

Awesome walk if you venture off the main routes. There are buffalo and various birds you can see along the trails as well as a kid center

A crushed limestone route that has lots of bike and foot traffic. It connects to the MoPac trail going West though Lincoln which is concrete and offers many services through town. The East trail is rather remote and passes through various coops. I personally haven't been all the way East but I am looking forward to it.

The Billy Wolf is a concrete trail that goes mostly East-West though town. Many trails connect to it and it makes a great addition to the city's network. It is fairly level but crosses many busy areas. There are plenty of shops and residences around for services and a few rather large parks (Holmes Lake and Antelope Park).

A concrete trail running from the Rock Island/Helen Boosalis Trails, Old Cheney Trail, and Southpointe Trails. I frequently use this to commute to work and travel to downtown. The north end is mostly level but there is some slight sloping on the southern end that kids might find challenging. The traffic is fairly moderate and heavy at times. There is partial cover throughout the trail and it passes by various business and residential areas. Most notably really close to the Southpointe mall.

This crushed limestone trail connects the Salt Creek Levee and Homestead trails and runs parallel to the Wideness park complex. The has been extensive damage in the past but repair work began last summer on sections washed out two years ago. There are still some patches that need work but it is a great trail. The surface is improved but may be challenging in spots for road bikes. It is partially covered throughout the trial and virtually level. There aren't many services along the way so plan ahead. My 6yo daughter finds the crushed limestone challenging to ride with her bike otherwise a good trek for kids.

This is a great trail for riding and running. The surface is hard and it connects with many other trails which makes for heavy traffic at times. I use it to commute to work and cruising around with my daughter.

One of my favorite places to be!

This trail is a series of inter-looping multi-use trails. There are hiking, biking and horseback trails. Inside the park they zig-zag around. I have been in summer, winter, and fall and the trails are usable. Traffic varies.

Easy trail, a nice way to feel like you are getting away from the city. Lots of wildlife--I've seen deer, turkeys, and a fox as well as several bird species.

A very easy hike, perfect for kids. There is a lot to see and do so you can make multiple trips without seeing the same things. The nature centers are worth checking out as well.

The pioneer park trails are among the best in Lincoln...especially if you have younger children.

It has exercise stops, a few options to just do a round about, pretty trees, lots of bird species, safe but very dark at night. Dogs have gotten a few ticks from getting into the tall grass and dead trees

Great route which many people use.

Old Cheney Road trail is good from 84th to 56th street with only 9 roads/neighborhood streets. Then from 56th to 48th there are many roads/entrances which slow your ride. 48th to 27th is fine with a wide path and freedom of maneuver. The entire route is concrete/blacktop.
