Really not very well maintained from locust street to the platte river. Grass up to waist high in some areas. This area of the trail is supposed to be crushed rock. The rest of it is great.

Great trail for road running training! I love to go around the back side of the museum but the parks and views in town are fun as well!

Nice view of downtown Omaha. Good picture spot at Nebraska and Iowa state line on the bridge

Nice easy walk. Good view of downtown Omaha from the Iowa side. The sculpture honoring labor is worth a view.

The bridge from end to end is 0.9K. Nice views and there are often concerts and festivals held on either side.

A great trail. All concrete. Great for bicycling and other activities. Not much traffic. It goes both in town and out of town. We visited the Stuhr pioneer prairie museum on the way.

All paved, but there's an actual dirt trail path in the Eastern tree line between Woolworth and Martha, separated by Center. It's the closest you'll get to a trail in midtown.

Nice area for an easy walk.

Nice paved trail. Once you leave the park, there is little shade, so plan accordingly.

I started in Millard and ran to the beginning of the trail near Hefflinger Park then back to Millard. There was a moderate amount of traffic so I did not feel isolated too much. My only “meh” part is that the bike riders come through very fast and not all of them announce themselves when coming up behind you. So be aware and don’t wear headphones that block out noise around you. Aside from this, the trail is well maintained, marked clearly and easy to access from multiple points. I’m looking forward to running it again.

Lincoln has many and great trails throughout the city, for walking, running, and biking, definitely a plus. Well maintained, nice views, and many parks along the way.

Love this trail, I walk it every day. Very peaceful and almost completely shaded from Woolworth south to Martha. Wide concrete trail that is excellent for bikers, walkers and runners. If you like birdwatching, you will see plenty. Only caution is that this is partly in a ravine, so on hot days don’t expect a lot of breeze.

This trail came up in a hiking search and I’m not sure why. I personally like hiking spots to be a little more secluded, and this park is literally right in the middle of a neighborhood. The lake was pretty and the path is flat and well maintained. Maybe a better spot for riding or just for a leisurely walk. Would be a nice spot to walk with a date or friend.

Love walking or biking on this trail with my family. Easy for young kids (or parents toting a child in a bike seat) to ride because it’s flat.

Easy walking trail in midtown. Quiet and not overly busy.

This is a fantastic path! The actual trail around Newport Landing is only 3.6 miles, however. There is another portion of trail on the other side of 180th. I did a little extra today and made this walk 5.15 miles. The trail is wide, in great condition, mile-marked, and is a good balance of ups and downs. It'd be great for walking, running, or biking.

4 stars only because this trail gets a bit sketchy when going under the overpasses, but otherwise it is wonderful! I started at Hefflinger Park (the beginning/end of the trail) and rode to 72nd St, which was 14.6 miles. The trail is rather flat, with small, manageable hills. For a strong rider, this trail would be a piece of cake. I'm a new rider, and I really enjoyed the workout I got on this trail. I highly recommend it. If you can get past riding behind some shopping centers and warehouses closer to the lower numbered streets, you'll have a great ride here!

This is a well maintained, paved trail. It has great views of incoming and outgoing trails, and is family friendly.

This is a great trail for riding and running. The surface is hard and it connects with many other trails which makes for heavy traffic at times. I use it to commute to work and cruising around with my daughter.

Beautiful view of the Missouri River. You can actually put one foot in 2 different states in the middle. My pre-teen kids were able to do this without any issues. They had fun "leaving their sister in Iowa"! There are bicycle rentals available.

Really excellent trail well marked with location pointers. Smooth surface for running and riding links well with the Keystone Trail for onward tours around Omaha. I recommend linking riding the trail with Elmwood Park and the University of Nebraska campus. I also liked the city bus markings on the trail to alert you to where to access Omaha Transit along the way.

This is a really nice path that is mostly concrete and easy to ride. I have been riding the on Saturday mornings and usually pass 50 to 100 people within 4 miles which I enjoy since the fellow path users seem friendly.

Peaceful, not too busy, goes further now than stated in the description- currently extends to 42nd and F streets(roughly), where the continuation of the trail is under construction. It appears it will connect to the Keystone and Big Papio trails, and probably pretty soon!

Nice wide open trail. Easy ride to get some distance in. Can be a little busy and a little tight when using bridges, but visibility is good enough to avoid issues.
