A story book trail. Lush green forest, well maintained trail, short .5 mile walk to the Swift Creek overlook. My COSTCO non-Deet bug spray was barely adequate even with reapplication every 15 minutes. Bring the good stuff or plan for dizzy dehydration due to blood loss. Clockwise on the loop for gentle trail up and more dramatic elevations down.

Perfect place to take small children. The birds and flowers are beautiful. Trail is fairly level and wide enough to walk while holding their hands.

Went with my family that needed an easy hike. My mom had a hip replacement three weeks prior to this hike and liked it. She used walking sticks, but had no trouble navigating this. My two year old walked most of it herself. Nice and short, but don’t forget the bug spray!

Went with family of 6 with oldest kid being 8 youngest kid being 2. A nice hike with no complaints for the kids. 2 year old did most of it by foot.

Super fun mountain bike loop for beginners. We just started venturing into mountain biking and have had a hard time finding trails that aren't incredibly bumping, curvy, or without major inclines/declines. This one was so perfect! A little exciting with a few bumps, two sharp turns, but lots and lots of fun. I wanted to do the loop all darn day!

We followed the map above for hiking.... we frequently checked the map to see if we were on the right trail. We didn't see a single sign that indicated we were on George's Gorge. Instead the entire trail followed a trail called Journey. We saw heaps of Deer on the trail and fresh rip raspberries as well as bear skat. Be bear aware when hiking this trail. It wasn't difficult at all, perhaps longer then anticipated. Seemed also to be a lot longer then 4.5 km. However we were also hiking and each carrying 45lb and 50lb children.
Beautiful forested trail with some great views and a small pond.

Great for young children. We pushed a 3 wheeled, jogging stroller for our 2 year old, although he could have walked most of it.

Nice trail. Can get a little flat in spots so carry some speed if on a snowboard or you'll end up paddling.

Well this is definitely a good mountain to ski down however it's a bit of a challenge to hike up which is what I did. There were lots of flowers and birds the whole way up.

I hiked Big Mountain in late spring early summer and I found it quite difficult. Great scenery almost the entire way, but couldn't reach the summit due to snow.

This trail is a little bumpy, and lot's of blind corners, you pick up speed really fast even though it isn't that steep. Be moderately cautious as it is next to the main run (caribou) so skiers and snowboarders like to jump in at different spots. It's best in January-February (in my opinion).
