A nice walk after a big snowstorm yesterday. I saw the perfect MLK sign carved into the snow.

A short but steep hike that isn’t very travelled. We saw two other couples on our hike, and we had the waterfall all to ourselves. Definitely worth it!

A nice pretty easy hike. unfortunately it was very smokey from all the wildfires in the area while we I was there but still beautiful! came 20ft apart with a black bear but made it by with no incidents

Decided to make an attempt to try this trail since I did not get to do it in the summer. Knew the trail would be icy, but had just purchased some Yaktrac’s, plus the trail had just got four inches of snow on it. Followed one set of tracks in, and not long into the trip, met a young woman coming back down. Trail was steep, but snow helped with traction. Finally got to where the hiker before me turned around and thought, I can’t resist going a little further and break the fresh snow. Glad I did, got to a beautiful view point. Believe I was only two miles into the hike, so it is back on my list for completion. Any day in nature is a good day, so I enjoyed the part I did do.

Plenty of berries to eat. Ouzel lake is full of mosquitoes, but the rest of the path was ok. Trail had a lot of horse poop.

The road leading to the trailhead was closed off, added an extra mile both ways. Great hike! The falls were beautiful.

loved this hike! beautiful reward at the top!

Easy hike! beautiful view at the end and a fun place to swim or cool off. Young or old this is a good hike for everyone.

Hiked this on 1/5/2018. 46 degrees. Trail was in great shape for January. Campground is closed that trailhead is located in. Have to park at the gate on the other side of the Stillwater River bridge and walk over. Take a left when you get to the campground and follow the road up to the trailhead.

Gorgeous lake. Nice hike.

January hike. Very, very icy. We had yaktrax on and had a hard time in places. Good views. Well traveled; saw 4 other groups in 3 hours of hiking. Would be great snowshoe if there was a lot of snow.

A lovely hike on a bluebird day today January 2. Path is solid underfoot with 12 to 18 inches of snow on both sides. Waterfalls are frozen on top but river is flowing under ice so take care if you tread on the ice. Some amazing lads ice climbing the waterfalls made for super photos. A great way to spend a couple of hours.

Great trail did it with my kids and we had a great time. Beautiful views and amazing waterfall at the end.

Hiked August 2017 and still remains one of my favorites Ive done. Trail itself is not to challenging until you reach the switchbacks that lead to the tunnel. Lots of wildlife along the way and at the lake. We saw mountain goats, sheep, and a golden eagle dive in for a kill all in a span of an hour.

Hiked this last August while most of the park was closed from fire damage and smoke. Great reward at the end and saw 3 moose along the way, including a 22 point bull that walked across the trail about 25 feet in front of us.

Amazing views of the lake, with peaks above you and waterfalls galore.. Very crowded with people in the summer months. Went with a group, which is recommended as to not have to try and figure out the bear spray.

did this in December with 2 grandchildren under 5. what an adventure. Had a blast although we had to trail blaze across the creek and back due to a solid section of slick ice that was too dangerous for the kids. Beautiful in the snow.

Great trail, hiked it on Christmas day and the snow was hard packed making an easy hike, the waterfalls were frozen and beutiful.

A nice trail, not terribly hard but will be very busy during the summer months. Plan to get an early start if you want a quiet trail because it’s popular with families

Hiked September 2017. While smoke obscured our views, this was a great first hike in Glacier NP.

Hiked September 2017. Beautiful location. We took the boat across the first lake and then hiked to the second for a quick lunch. We think we heard elk bugling but didn’t spot them.

Hiked September 2017. This hike was a wildlife bonanza for us - bighorn sheep, 2 moose including a baby and 2 grizzly bears (at a very comfortable distance). The views down the valley were spectacular too!

We hiked it the latter half of August 2018. The trail was busy. All types of hikers; flip flops with no water and experienced hikers. The flip floppers didn't go very far, thankfully. Lots of goats and sheep and small varmit. The smoke from the fires made the stay at Granite Park Chalet, along with no maturity of the staff (nice but no adults in charge) unbearable. We were to have stayed 2 nights but left after one, losing the money on that second night. We weren't the only ones not happy, there was a newlywed couple on their honeymoon who had a sad experience, too. We have stayed years at the sister chalet Sperry. Sperry had very good staffing with an adult in charge. Never going back to Granite Park for an overnight. Great hike thru with a lunch stop is recommended...... amazing hike ! Giving the hike 5 stars and the staffing at the chalet, 1 star......

Glacier Park in your backyard? You've gotta see this! Amazing waterfalls and fun hiking for most ages.

Nice get away trail in the summer time. It's all about timing. Got to enjoy the lake with very a little amount of people.

Love this hike. Good for kids. All year round availability. Crisp mountain air. Wildlife/birds abound. Would love to ice climb the falls one year. Awesome photo ops.

Incredible hike, but very difficult at the end. Getting to the lake is absolutely worth it. Going back with a tent next summer!

Absolutely gorgeous hike following the creek all the way to the falls. Spectacular views. Moderate effort level.. fine for kids.
