Great place to spend a couple hours, lots of history and dog friendly. Even in March it’s a beautiful place to go. Could hear the cracking of the ice on the Yosemite while looking at the caves.

Did not go very far due to a storm coming up but did see a moose from far off!

Easy trail with two kids.

Quite the slog in the loose snow and on steep terrain. Not much trail to follow so had the chance to make one of our own.

Great weather all day; light breeze on top and the lookout was totally encased in windblown snow and ice. A spectacular sight and the views were incredible.

Don't fast before you go on this adventure...you could end up feeling peeked at the end of the day.

Great hike! The water is very cold, so don’t plan on swimming! Worth the trek!

One of my favorite in glacier national park! I would recommend doing it from Logan’s Pass & working down. The views are amazing, being able to see the whole valley & the vast scenery of the whole park is worth the distance! Nightly recommend!

This is by far my favorite hike in the flathead valley! There hasn’t been a time when I haven’t seen some form of wildlife (mountain goats, moose, etc.). Highly recommend!

Such a fun and easy hike. Great for the whole family. Breathtaking views

Incredible trail... backpacked it May 2017...plenty of wildlife, spectacular views, and challenging climbs... highly recommend this Trail.

Snow shoeing this was exhausting! The views at the top were amazing! Lots of wandering as well since you can't really see the trail with all the snow. Can't wait to go back and do it in the summer!

Beautiful hike through the old growth cedars along the creek, ending at a glacial lake with great waterfalls and thick plant life everywhere!

a long yet if your up for the 14 mile hike and XC skiing well worth it hike! amazing views from the start to finish! We thought we would be the only people up there, but there was about 6 other people behind us. make sure to start early, it took us about 12 hours, because of the road being closed 5 miles before the trail!!!

Parking is not available in the winter. Nearest parking is 1.5 miles out from trail and snowshoes would have helped a lot. No one was on the trail and it was gorgeous.

Hiked this back in July. Amazing hike with great views as a good length of the trail is along the side of the mountain with the valley and Going to the Sun Rd below. Shuttled up to Logan Pass and then hiked back to the car that way.

There’s a short path a little over half way through that goes up to the Grinnell Glacier overlook. Would definitely recommend this but while the hike is short, the elevation gain is pretty tough at this point. If starting from Logan Pass, there’s a nice little stream/watering hole near the end of the trail that was wonderful to sit in after doing the hike.

It’s a nice walk on a cool day, no shade or cover at all. Really pretty views of Missoula but a pretty boring hike otherwise. You can have dogs off leash and it seems pretty safe. Minimal parking.

Really snowy, but a great trail!

A nice walk along the river in the heart of Bigfork. Wonderful for kids and dogs.

Great Trail!

Not a super hard hike and the view is amazing! Would recommend maybe having yaktrax or something for the winter as it was a bit slippery. One thing to note is the road is closed to get to the trailhead in the winter so you have to walk an additional mile or so to get there.

The way up was so beautiful this summer. Amazing wild flowers. The trail got a bit rocky up top, so I think I’ll have to get some ankle support boots for next time!

Is it possible to park a motorhome at the trailhead? And if not, what is the camping like nearby?

A nice walk. While the trail is sometimes hard to descern, it is impossible to get lost. There are several good viewpoints on this trail, and plenty of 'bonus' peaks and valleys to check out.

I have hiked this trail a few times. There are some steep places, but no dangerous passages. The view is outstanding as it progressively increases in altitude. The headwaters area is fantastic, with many plants not common in our area.

One of my favorite trails in the Ten Lakes Area, 360 views at the top and if you get there early enough you can spend the night in the old fire lookout. Most of the trail is pretty easy, and there some shade but once you leave the trees you'll want something to cover your head/face!

Looking for a party to exchange keys with, leaving from East Rosebud Lake heading to Cooke City from July 31 thru Aug 5 of 2018. If interested please contact Jim @ jkidwell9@cox.net.

Although this is not a very long trail I found it to be a pretty intense climb. It had beautiful views and I was rewarded with paragliders when I reached the summit. Would definitely go again!

I would rate this as a moderate to easy walk. The day I went there was lots of foot traffic and I was the only person who didn’t have a dog with them

be ready to get your feet wet
