Amazing. Nice hike. Easy to moderate.

Beautiful easy hike!

I recommend hitching a ride on a motorboat to the end of the reservoir and beginning your hike there. The nine mile lake trail is strenuous, windy and with a lot of loose shale. Make sure to wave when the boats pass you by.

This should not be listed as easy. Definitely at least moderate taking into account the elevation gain and length.

Trail offers beautiful views of Gibson Reservoir and surrounding mountains. First 1-2 miles of trail runs near summer homes but soon after becomes very isolated. Trail is in very poor condition with numerous trees blocking path. Also, after approximately 4 miles, the trail becomes indistinguishable with the various game trails throughout the area. Signs are almost totally not present, so getting lost would be quite easy.

I went into the Bob this way back in April where it snowed on our day and was sunny on our day out. Lots of wildlife is seen such as bald eagles, elk, and mountain sheep. Really easy hike too, mostly flat with some slopes.

This is the reservoir trail to get into the Bob marshall.. its long, no wait... Never ending... hot and dusty! Get ready to be run over by pack trains. Paradise is just beyond. I recommend kayaking and hiking from the end. We did 42 miles. 3 nights. Memorable trip but the reservoir is the worst part. Enjoy!
