Great hike! Mostly flat trail with a lake along the way and a pretty waterfall at the end. Low traffic and we got the waterfall area to ourselves.

This was a great flat hike, there was some elevation as you approach the waterfall but easy for little kids to hike. The scenery to the waterfall was not so pretty due to the forest fire from 2017 but the end of the trail was well worth the hike. I found some mushrooms and new growth along the way

Has a haunting beauty due to the fire that ravaged it last year. Still absolutely worth doing!! The water fall is a real treat.

Great hike with nice waterfall view at the end.

Pretty walk with the dogs. Close to town!

we ran this trail. there's a few steeper hills and had to watch where you landed. it was a beautiful run even with the char from the fire. loved the falls it was a great halfway break.

just did this hike today 6/18/18 I've gone here for several years in a row. Five stars cause it really is a perfect moderate hike to nice falls. However it is not as pretty since the fire, but oh well, still a great hike!

Fun and kid friendly hike. Pretty flat, trail is wide and in good shape. The fire burned through here, so the forest isn’t really there anymore in a lot of this area. Still a great hike, flowers, water, morel mushrooms.....the falls are amazing. My GPS said 6 miles round trip.

Love hiking up here but it’s too bad the fire happened still a great hike.

Great easy hike. Unfortunately the fire in 2017 burned most of the forest along this trail... Trees have fallen across the path for at least the first mile requiring a little extra effort until they clear them. Thankfully the bridge is untouched and the falls are still gorgeous. Raging this time of year!

Easy hike. I recommend following the waterfalls up the mountain, most people stop at the first.

One of my favorites, with great views! easy for all ages

We took our 7year old grandson, who had no issues with the length. The falls are amazing!!!

Hike that can be done without any pack if you wanted to go minimalist. Easy and flat enough to take young children on; very safe, wide, well maintained, and stable trail.

love this hike!

Really liked this trail to the Falls. You walk through an area of dead fall trees and then up the ridge and down to Morrell Lake. You make a left on the trail to continue to the Falls. Over a bridge and around to the Falls. The spring melt was in full force an the falls were overflowing and powerful as shown by the pictures attached. Well worth the trip.

The only difficulty of this home is it's length. You do walk through some large beetle kill standing timber which is cool. There is a pin towards the end that would be difficult to fish. You will not be alone on this trip.

beautiful usually traffic but beautiful

Awesome hike. Spring is the best time. less bugs and the falls are spectacular

Great hike. Not strenuous. About 6 miles or so round trip to the water falls which were awesome. Bear country but no signs today, the berries weren't quite ripe yet though. Our 9, 6 and 4 year olds had fun on this hike even with getting rained on the whole way back.

beautiful, easy hike... not steep or very difficult. A few areas where there is an incline. Falls are very beautiful! A lot of traffic on the trail when we went, but still a sight!

Very fun hike to a beautiful waterfall, trail was packed with people. Pretty easy with very little short spurts of intermediate hills. Loved it. Dog loved it. Great hike!

This is one of my favorite hikes - absolutely breathtaking

it was so great. i think one of the best hikes i have ever been on. so pretty and pretty moderate.

Rated as moderate, but I would call it easy. It is a good family hike. Great places to stop and relax along the way. Don't forget bug spray and bear spray. Morrell Creek drainage is known for grizzly bears.

A day-hike that is suitable for all skill levels, Morrell Falls lets you experience several different aspects of a forest. From tight-in trees, to marshy open areas. Starts out rather dry, then very moist as you approach the falls. Depending on time of year, the volume of water over the falls will vary. With high water in the spring, you can also count on the roads being muddy as well. Lastly - mosquitoes are HORRIBLE in June and July.

6ish miles from parking to the falls. Beautiful woods and the water features are a wonderful surprise as you go along the trail. The tree roots are plentiful and large. We rate this trail better than moderate for bikes and moderate for hikes. Kids would not enjoy a bike ride here, but a hike would be fun. The falls are worth every hard earned pedal and step of the one mile elevation change. The round trip took us about 2.5 hours on our bikes.
