My favorite run/walk/hike in Billings. I start at Swords Park, circle Skeleton Cliff, go down to Boothill Cemetery, then hike the same route back up. It’s approx. 4 miles round trip. Nice views of Billings. Paved most of the way.

See Eagles soar and raging waters at this location. Fun outing for the kids. Cool bridge to cross. Even a place to have a cook off for friends and family!

Nice workout to run on the trail or bike on. Never overcrowded yet many walks of life can be seen on the trails. Plenty of birds to watch. Be mindful of bugs/nats as you get closer to the river, especially in the summertime.

Bit slick on the boardwalks. Beautiful walk on either side of the creek.

Fun walk with great views. did it on a rainy day so we could stay on pavement.

Great asset Great Falls

Easy, ADA accessible trail. Shaded with large cedar trees. We were not planning to stop, but decided to at the last second. Good for kids too.

More of a stroll than a hike, there isn’t a lot to see on this trail, but it does serve a purpose.

The entire trail is boardwalk and pavement with handicap accessibility throughout. The loop winds through heavy forest, and the park has installed signs to educate walkers about trees on the trail. The entire path is covered by the forest canopy, so there is no exposure. Overall the trail is reminiscent of an eastern US nature trail.

If you have children, mobility issues, or are just tired from some other trails, this is good way to spend a half hour or so. It can help you warm up for a more strenuous hike and learn more about the trees that populate a portion of the park.

Absolutely the most scenic drive in all of America. You must drive it both directions ... then hike the trails.

This is a nice family-friendly, dog-friendly easy walking trail just outside the city. An easy to get-to “must see” for Great Falls. Paved trail along the river, goes between the dam and Giant Springs state park.

Great trail. We rode mountain bikes from Zimmerman to Boot Hill today. After getting to this trail, we stayed south of the paved trail... it was more difficult and fun.

This trail is great. Novices can stay on pavement and the crazy riders can drop down next to the trims and have a challenging run.

A great little trail overlooking Billings. Started by the cemetery, worth checking out for sure. Spend a few minutes overlooking Skeleton Cliff and take it in. Creepy but cool. Only made it about halfway before I had to head back. Would definitely do again.

Short, nearly flat loop through a cedar grove with a few other types of conifer trees. Mostly asphalt or boardwalk. Popular because it is the easiest trail in Glacier National Park. Many people also hike this trail as the start of a hike to Avalanche Lake. Overall, a pleasant short walk if you are not up for one of the park's harder trails.

We hiked this trail and there’s a nice little bonus hike here to go out to the lake. Beautiful historic cedars!

Get there early - 9 am parking will go fast. The hike is relatively easy but the views when you get there are worth it.

A nice walk through a red cedar forest. It is quite a busy place even after 6pm!! If you are after solitude, this is not a place for it. Still a nice walk and nice scenery to boot

Easy trail but very relaxing with great views. It was so nice just to sit along the stream.

For such an easy trail, this one was so beautiful! Get there early to beat the crowds. Pretty early on in the trail, we had an encounter with a beautiful black bear that came to the creek for some water. He was within 20 yards and casually walked on, then ran across the trail. We also saw a deer in the distance. This truly is a beautiful little stroll through a lush ecosystem.

Lots to learn and great for a quick jaunt. We were expecting something less paved and more nature-y, which is the reason for the 3 stars. Good for elderly, children, and those who are less athletic!

Looked like a neat easy path but only got to do a little bit of it as closed for construction.

Nice paved trail with great view of Billings. Lots of flowers in bloom after the rains. Good distance for a walk, otherwise not much of a workout. I think I would rather bike it than walk it, though I didn't see a single cyclist during my visit.
