Trail markings were absolutely terrible. Two wrong turns and we just took the nearest way out at that point. Beautiful flowers and the trail is very nice.

We did the 3+ mile ridge line loop. It was quite strenuous but very doable. You should wear a hat and bring water. Saw many dogs on trail. Bring water for dog too. If in Missoula you gotta do it!

Rocky, not a lot of shade, great views of the city and surrounding mountains. Lots of wildflowers in bloom right now.

been heading out to Lincoln Hills most nights this week to soak up the stunning wildflowers. tonight we had the surprise of running into a bear cub on the north loop trail. was around 8 pm and was very skiddish, but only 5-10 minutes from the parking lot! pack your bear spray and safely enjoy the views!

Check out Brennan’s Wave.

Went off trail a number of times. Bisecting trails get confusing.

Great place to hike with dogs! On it off leash.

Great views, good shade, a little crowded but many trails you can jump onto .

The single tracks along Kim Williams to Deer Creek road can be fun in the Spring when you're trying to re establish your single track balance

There’s room for like four cars at the trailhead.

I did more than the ravine creek trail. I did a large loop. But the ravine creek trail was good. Shaded and sunny. Dog friendly. Some blown down trees to hike over but not too bad.

Difficulty: 3/5 Straightforward and probably the most well maintained trail in the city (also the most popular). Strong elevation gain the whole way up, but with lots of resting spots. Slight amount of snow in the shaded parts. Accessibility: 5/5 Just on the edge of the city right behind the campus. Lots of parking, pavement the whole way to the start of the trail head. There is more than one trail leading to the top with the switchbacks above the parking lot being the easiest. Views: 5/5 Wonderful views of the city and the entire valley that just gets better the higher you go. 360 degree views at the summit.

The trail head is closed until March 30th (2020) to protect wintering elk (3/17).
