Beautiful hike. Did have to contend with a few downed trees across the trail though

A few downed trees and some spots with interesting rock footing. But it was very beautiful

Great hike. A few downed trees on the trail, but passable. This site is featured by the National Forest Service as a place to see big horned sheep. I didn’t see any, so I will be back. Warning: watch out for ticks.

A nice outing, but the majority of the trees have been burned because of the fire last year. But our dogs loved the hike!

We loved this hike. The mid July water was gushing along the side of the trail. Flowers everwhere! Challenging pace going uphill with amazing views.

Easy to find and if in the mood to be in the trees, so relaxing. Many grouse along the way to be on guard with dogs who want a chase. Final point has beautiful scenary.

Didn't have enough time for a real long hike, so I decided to check this one out with my dog, Todd. I was pleasantly surprised by this little gem of a hike. There are signpost spread throughout that correspond to a little brochure you pick up at the start of the trail. I now know how to identify Douglas Fir pines, Lodgepole Pines, Ponderosa and Larch pines. I learned about the Batholith boulders and got to take some sweet pics of the valley below. The beginning is a little tough as it is a gradual climb for the first 3/4 mile or so. But it's a beautiful hike with a lot to learn.

directions from trailhead were hard to follow, but I ended up taking a game trail to the lookout inevitably cutting the time and mileage in half.

Good hike. Agree with the other review.. this is not the hike with the waterfall. It's an uphill hike with views of Lolo Peak. Nice views. Tough right now because there is still a ton of snow, so it'd make a great snowshoe.

A local favorite hike. Easy quick access from town. No long scary mountain drive up the mountain. Great views and a waterfall. Great for kids and dogs.

Followed the GPS route listed here. No falls, I think this trail is being confused with one down in the Bittterroot Valley with the same name. This trail leads you up a ridge for a ways with views of Lolo Peak. Some cool open views once you get to the top of the ridge.

on Mill Creek Trail

Love this Trail. I've done it twice, both times in the Winter. Once went really well the 2nd time it was a major post hole nightmare, but looking back I laugh. :) I do enjoy this trail and it's close to town so it's very convenient.
