Best hike I've done to date. Not an easy one but worth it once you get to the top and your the only one up there. Above average hiking boots recommended. When the sun goes down, it's gets pretty cold up there!

It is not an easy WALK to the top. It was 3 1/2 miles to the peak and it is elevated at the last half mile. FYI there were fresh bear tracks the entire way up and do not recommend anyone to go up there unless having a firearm. The trail is not clear at all but is nice and quiet, total nature and underrated trail.

Nice snowy hike. Enjoy the solitude after the falls. The temperature swing over the last ridge during a snow storm can be quite drastic.

This is an easy walk with beautiful views. The road in is a bit of a rough drive and one lane at some points. Nice photo ops all the way.

Favorite hike in Montana. The lake is a true treasure at the end. Felt like Scotland.

Great trail, beautiful views!

Very steep, but well worth it.

Definitely one of the best hikes I've done, with some incredible views throughout - with the very best being the lake! I would love to do this again as a backpacking trip, it would be awesome to have stayed at the lake longer than we did!

Trail was very easy with a couple moderate inclines. Kid and dog friendly. I went alone around dawn at 7am and only saw one other gentleman on the trail at this time. Got a bit crowded on my way back. Trail extends further to a lake. Great views of surrounding mountains through the trees and waterfall.

The trail description is very accurate. Our 4 year old hiked the entire trail by herself. The trail was fairly crowded (it's a holiday weekend), but it was still enjoyable. Great views and the waterfall was nice, with a narrow foot bridge to cross the creek below the falls.

Rocky trail to run on, but cool. At dawn alone bear spray makes for a good running buddy.

It was a BEAUTIFUL hike!! But I will admit, my husband and I only went two-thirds of the way before turning back. I'm 6 months pregnant and this was his first mountain hike (the elevation in our hometown is only about 1100ft) and he was carrying all of our water and food for the day. It was pretty grueling with all the switchbacks and whatnot, but I think we could've made it if we really wanted to, even with me being 6 months pregnant and somewhat out of shape; we just would've felt pretty crappy by the end. So if you're not pregnant I'd say your chances are pretty solid! Just be ready for a serious calf workout. ;)

Tight, muddy trail in portions where bushes are over growing the trail. Not overly trafficked on a Tuesday morning. Nice pay off at the end when you reach the falls! When you get about 1.6 miles in, you'll see a bridge. Ignore it and go straight, up the hill and you'll see a clearing with a cabin soon. Then, you'll be about .2 away from the falls.
