A wonderful hike for all ages. Shaded for most of the way.

A beautiful hike! We did run into strong winds and rain on the return. Trees started falling along the trail. We were thankful that Nancy from the forest service came up behind us and directed us to an open meadow. We made it out safely. An adventure for sure!

Easy except the rocks and stumps on trail. Beautiful waterfall. Worth the trip.

Really lovely trail for all kinds of hikers, and on a beautiful June Saturday it was fairly crowded. The falls are worth it - be sure to cross the bridge and take a few more steps because there is a second waterfall just to the right of the first, but hidden!

beautiful flowers this time of year! wish we could've had more time to summit the peak but the views were still amazing at our lower elevation hike :)

Beautiful hike but difficult for beginners. Loved camping up there too because I was too tired to walk back down 

Definitely a difficult hike. Still a lot snow but well worth it for the views!

Great hike, but be sure and stay right when you come to second wooden bridge. We went left and never got to the falls. Had to make our way back bc it was getting late.

Favorite Montana hike!

Worth the trek to the end! Sign reads 1 mile to Falls, but it is more like 2.

Hiked it today. The Forest Service was on the trail and cleaned up the 2 downed trees we ducked under on the way in. The creek and falls were beautiful with very high water volumes, but any minor crossings were safe and easy.

Great hike. The burned parts are stark but interesting in a different way and it did open up views to neighboring peaks. The switchbacks at the end are steep and some logs have fallen across the path and have to be clambered over.
Not sure why the description mentions dogs have to be on leash. How can that be on a trail this far from people? Our dog was very happy off leash but we watched her closely as we got to the falls since the trail leads you to the top of the falls.

Hiked it yesterday, there were lots of trees down in the pathway to go over/under

I've hiked it several times and plan to go again.

wonderful mothers day hike!

Tried to do this hike on April 22. Road is unfortunately still closed. Had to park 2.5 miles from the trail head and started walking the dirt road to the trail head. Beautiful walk! No snow at all. Only went about 10 minute on the trail once we hit the trail head since we still had a 2.5 mile walk back to the car. Also, there was HUGE grizzly tracks that we followed on the dirt road the whole walk. The tracks continued on the trail head for as far as we went (which was not far). Definitely would try it again in the summer.
