Pools still busy, even with corona scare. Slippery ice all over trails, and muddy in others. Definitely bring snowtrax. Other than that, views are beautiful. Bathroom by parking lot is a mess though. Disgusting.

Snow packed trail today. But easy to traverse. Beautiful pools

Nice trail to get great views and see plenty of wildlife. Signs said trail only accessible with snowshoes or skis, but they were well traveled and hardpacked for easy walking. Mid February

We hiked this trail on January 8, 2020. The trail had good packed snow. Some slick spots. The trail was very peaceful and relaxing. The hot springs spots were clear and toasty. Very fun to be in warm water while the cold river rushes by and snow blankets everywhere else.

Nice trail, it was a bit icy but not too much snow. Saw lots of birds and pretty views, and soaked in the hot springs afterwards!

Easy hike along board walks but spectacular

Went in mid-December...Great trail... some areas require snowshoes or skis... wear lots of layers and waterproof pants as well as waterproof boots...dress like you are going skiing... bring a hot drink in flask that will stay hot at least 9 hours...have fun, enjoy snow, and don’t break a leg or ankle...

I frequently visit these hotsprings and just hiked in Dec. 7th. There are only a few slick spots on the trail. The lower pool is more shallow than it has been, but still high enough to soak in. This is definitely a great time of year to visit!

Very easy hike. The springs were beautiful. Just a heads up, this wasn’t close to Lolo. It’s across the border in Idaho. I almost doubled back to Montana when I got to the border but so glad I didn’t. We had the whole place to ourselves.

lots to see. the hot springs are very impressive.

The new owners of the Boulder Hotel have done a MAJOR over haul of this building that was designated for total destruction. This is a 1920s era hotel. So it is not really great for folks with disabilities. The rooms are very comfortable and they offer a number of types of rooms from simple with no baths to a bit more upscale with a full bathroom. Just as it would be in the 1920s. Sadly the hotel is NOT pet friendly. The soaking pool is seperated male and female and there is an out door pool too. Lots of nice hiking in the area and camping is allowed on the grounds. I would come here every week from Missoula if they allowed my dog to stay.

If the small parking area is full, there is another lot across the street. This was on our YSNP bucket list and it didn’t disappoint. Easy hard packed trail that leads to the convergence of mammoth hot spring and Gardner river. Enjoy your soak

Nice little hike. Not a super hot spring but still refreshing. Make sure to take trail from the first camp ground.

Nice easy hike to the boiling river access point, but we kept going on a path along the river. There was a nice breeze and it was warmer than expected.

This is the most beautiful hot spring I've been to in the US. Will now do this every time I come to Yellowstone!

Amazing geothermal feature.

Holy wow.

IMPORTANT ! Boiling river ferme à 18h00, nous sommes arrivés à 18h30 et l'accès y est interdit. Ce n'était écrit nulle part. Planifiez y arriver tôt

We did just part of this trail system. There was a bull elk hanging out by the Minerva terrace with 2 cows. Pretty cool to be that close to a huge elk. He was right next to the boardwalk the whole time. There were lots of elk around Mammoth the day we were there. Interesting area.

I loved the different views and areas. Very unique!

A very popular spot so go early or late to avoid the big crowds. We parked at the parking lot at the entrance to the scenic drive (upper terraces) and started the boardwalk trail right there. There is an outhouse there and you'll avoid all the crowds down at the visitors center and shopping area. As others have said, walk the boardwalk (lower terraces) and drive the scenic drive (upper terraces). It is very interesting to see how the area evolves with sections that are active and still growing and sections that are no longer active and deteriorating.

Fun experience of the icy cold river water and the super hot spring water mixing. There are rocks outlining the best places to sit and relax. We went on 8/28/19 and it was hot outside. Be prepared for hot and dry conditions and be sure to take a water bottle or at least have some back in your car for when you are done. We were rewarded with a curious female elk who came within 25 yards of us while we were soaking. Such a cool experience!

Took my 5 year old and 3 year old. Hiked a mile up to first hot spring and they had a blast playing in the water and climbing the rocks! Easy hike for kids and families.

Amazing! loved it we went at 8am and I'm glad we did it gets REALLY busy later in the day. we had less then 10 people when we went.
