Great place to go with the kids or dogs. Great trails to bike, walk, or run and they are large enough to push a double jogging stroller. Easy place to access the river for teaching dogs to swim and retrieve in water. taught the kids to skip rocks and caught Leopard frogs. Only wish people would respect the trail and pick up after their dogs.

Little slope in the beginning & easy at the top. Gorgeous views and photo opportunities of the river!! Highly recommend for an easy hike!

Steep hill in the beginning but easy once at top. Great views.

love the views, still haven't taken the river path.

Great trail. We rode mountain bikes from Zimmerman to Boot Hill today. After getting to this trail, we stayed south of the paved trail... it was more difficult and fun.

This trail is great. Novices can stay on pavement and the crazy riders can drop down next to the trims and have a challenging run.

A great little trail overlooking Billings. Started by the cemetery, worth checking out for sure. Spend a few minutes overlooking Skeleton Cliff and take it in. Creepy but cool. Only made it about halfway before I had to head back. Would definitely do again.

Beautiful trails, not paved for wheelchairs but if on a motorized should be ok. A bit buggy after rain yesterday. Should have used bug spray.

It’s a great place to go. Different trails, easy. Wish more people would heed the signs and pick up their dog poop!

This is a great in town walk. I would never call it a hard hike, more moderate in my eyes. Many different trails to enjoy that run into each other

Nice and mellow if you want it to be, but can be technical and challenging. Pick good lines and go before it gets hot. Awesome place but easy to spend more time than anticipated.

Has some cool bridges, and a bunch of different trails. But the bugs are so bad, do not forget bug spray. It's not that pretty, not a ton of trees or anything too special. I never go because I can't bring my dog. I don't really understand why they have that rule.. When they get rid of that rule I will come back!

Nice paved trail for an afternoon walk with a little bit of history along the way.

I come here several times a week to walk/hike. Saw a small (2 ft+) rattlesnake on the ridge line trail by one of the benches that overlook Billings and the Yellowstone River yesterday morning. Thankfully, for the first time all year, I had brought a walking stick. It came in handy as it took the brunt of the attack as I nearly stepped on the little critter. Rattle was going but I was walking fast with big strides. (And even though it was in the middle of the grassy trail, it REALLY blended in.) I used the stick to move it aside 20ft and then reported it to Lynn the camp host when I got back.

Overall, this is a nice place (close to town) to escape for an hour and stretch your legs. I'll be back time and time again.

Beautiful views and tons of wildlife to see!

This trail has a bunch of really neat bridges but it’s not necessarily a pretty hike because it’s kind of plain. It does go near the Yellowstone and you can walk in the shallow areas which is fun. Basically it’s an awesome trail if you go with no expectations.

Good early morning hike. Not too difficult, pretty good climb to start the first half mile or so. Be sure to look for the site of the old house, the chimney and kitchen are still there.

Great trail with mix of landscapes and views. I couldn't follow it exactly as posted and got lost for about an hour. Went on a weekday and only saw two other parties.

good trail, pretty tough climb the first half mile.

Nice quiet trails. These trails are more for mountain biking but still work great for hiking or running. I would say these are more on the moderate side hiking wise than hard. I’m guessing it’s rated hard for bikers. Beautiful views.

Fun quick hike and the first part is pretty steep. I plan on taking my kids next time.

Beautiful area just 15 min from the central part of town. 1/2 mile steep hike and then single track trails on top. Amazing views! I ran/hiked 4.5 miles total. Not exactly sure if I stayed on the main path. Many little trails that branch off the main trail. Easy to find your way around though. I will be back!

Nice paved trail with great view of Billings. Lots of flowers in bloom after the rains. Good distance for a walk, otherwise not much of a workout. I think I would rather bike it than walk it, though I didn't see a single cyclist during my visit.

Too many mosquitoes from stagnant water. Gate was locked, so anyone handicapped couldn’t drive in, but the sign said it is unlocked at dawn. No dogs allowed. Some pretty cliffs and birds. Too many piles of dead vegetation. Maybe it’ll get better?

What a great place to take the fur babies and hike. Friendly people and beautiful views! Loved it

This is one of my favorite hikes! it's very quiet, and you wouldn't think that it would be, being as close to Billings as it is. I feel like it's still sort of a hidden gem.

It was a good workout and relatively easy to follow the trail! A bit narrow in spots and not for someone with a fear of heights.

Great views. Easy hike with a bit of incline. Lots of wonderful history. Peaceful.

Easy Trail. Great for kids.
