Started post-holing at about 1.7 mi. Trail was muddy and lots of horse poop. Will try again later in the season.

This recording was the last half of the hike

Tried doing this without snowshoes - pretty miserable. With snowshoes it would have been great - pretty views.

Great trail for winter snowshoeing

My favorite snow shoe hike around Bozeman! Wide open and gorgeous views. Just incredible

Quiet trail, not far from town but feels secluded. Lost the trail once to snow cover but the AllTrails maps got me back on track. A couple nice views of the town and mountain scapes. Saw a moose just off the trail which was cool!

This was a beautiful incredible hike! Incredible vistas for most of the hike after you get through the meadows. The trail is well traveled but there are many offshoot horse trails so using AllTrails as you go was really helpful. The view at the top was worth the steep slope at the end. Do it!

This hike was beautiful and worthwhile with lots of wildflowers and meadows and a brook. There are minimal signs however and if you go right at the fork you will have to make your own path in some areas so we suggest sticking to the left.

Great trail through a wooded valley in Montana. Gradual slope is easy to navigate. Dirt path with rocks scattered throughout. Horses use the trail also so be prepared for the path to be rough in some areas and horse apples as well. The farther you go in the more picturesque and secluded it gets. AllTrails map stops at a clearing but the pathway continues on down into the valley. Saw a black bear near the beginning of the trail. Believe it was foraging for food at a nearby cabin. It crossed the trail and disappeared up the mountain before we had a chance to figure out what to do. Definitely made the rest of the hike exciting as we were preparing for a bear to come sauntering over every downed tree. On the way back we found a bear track on the trail not too far from where the bear crossed. Highly recommend the trail but make sure to be prepared for animal encounters!

This trail is absolutely beautiful with wildflowers everywhere and periodic shade. Great views and a moderate hike. We had 3 dogs with us and they loved it. Unfortunately we had to turn around as we didn’t bring enough water for them. Would definitely do again!

Thought I was on the right trail but apparently I was on the other Cinnamon one, possibly adjacent? Anyway I did an 8.4 mile hike instead. Wish the trailhead was described better! I did love the hike I did, but it was not what I intended.

Beautiful morning hike with great views in all directions! Lots of wildflowers this time of year. Nice gradual path surrounded by tall grass at times.

This trail was amazing! It’s such a beautiful place to hike. It’s more of a walk than a hike, so this trail should be classified as an easy trail. Recommend bear spray and long pants. Long pants aren’t necessary unless you don’t like long grass and wildflowers to touch your legs.

Great trail for all levels but there is some gradual incline and flies everywhere! A little muddy along the way. Start at Twin Cabin Trail, and go right.

Beautiful wildflowers on a gradual uphill climb to the knob. The trail is unmarked. Start at the twin cabin trailhead and bear left. It’s a smart idea to use the AllTrails gps. There are panoramic mountain views from the top.

Really good trail, plenty of birds, flowers, and even 4 deer. Beautiful views throughout the hike. Would definitely recommend long pants because of the tall grasses.

No access via Chief Joseph Way, as it becomes a private drive long before the trail gets anywhere close to it; also no access from Little Coyote Rd, as there is no street parking, nor a parking lot. Additionally, the trail was not readily visible (not visible at all, in fact!) from either of these roads; based on what I’ve read thus far, an educated guess says that this is due to the fact that it’s overgrown, and thus obscured by vegetation. It’s a shame because this one is convenient to both US-191 and MT state road 64.

Hiked this trail in early July - wildflowers in abundance! As others have mentioned there are other crossing trails in the area and this one is not well marked. Following AllTrails map will keep you in track.

The Reflector Loop is a great hike for beginners who want a challenging, but enjoyable hike. This trail is very muddy, and has some ascents and steep descents that could make you slip pretty fast. The trail is overgrown so I would recommend hiking boots and pants. When you’re on the trail you will probably encounter some animals. These animals can include mice, birds of all shapes, and sizes, chipmunks, and maybe even a snake. Remember, you are in bear country, so bear spray is essential. The location of this hike is perfect for anyone living or visiting big sky. This hike is less than 5 miles from the town center. It is also about .5 miles from my house. Although this is a beautiful hike. If you are in Bozeman I would not recommend driving 45 minutes to get to this hike. Also, because the trail is so close to the town center, at the trailhead you will see some roadways, houses, and even a water treatment plant. But besides that this trail is a walk through paradise. If you’re looking for a local hike this is the one to do.

Convenient location - overlooking the Big Sky Meadow. Wear pants. Bring bear spray. Watch for horse droppings. Overall nice hike.

This trail represents the meaning of “Big Sky Country”. We only did a short loop. It was about 3 hours. ‘Had to cross a couple of shallow streams. Beautiful views.

The trail is narrow and a bit overgrown, but you won’t lose it. Our shoe tops and pant legs got all wet the morning after a heavy rain. Lots of wildflowers though! Roused a few grouse.
