Clean nice trail , brings you into downtown Weston

One of my very favorites. I love the west ridge trail as it runs high above the Missouri. I am usually the only person on the trail which is also nice if you prefer some seclusion.

easy little hike, good for a short hike with little ones

Easy to Moderate with clean trails and excellent views. Highly recommend.

It was a great day for a hike & we just wanted a short one before heading back to the city. This gave a moderate challenge with the hill climb. The end was a bit disappointing. If there had been leaves on the trees you probably wouldn't be able to see the river.

Wonderful trails, but beware: very slippery when the ground is saturated! Amazing views and unexpected beauty.

We followed the All Trails trail map. 2 out of the 4 miles was paved in asphalt. The other 2 are wooded area. Some parts might be moderate, but 3.5 miles should be rated as easy. There were several other people about, so I would say moderately traveled, not lightly. But the area is decent and so was the trail. May check out again.

Nice place good views

It was a good workout with lots of hills and beautiful views. Very peaceful.

Beautiful trail, it was definitely more hilly than I expected with the easy rating of the trail. Perfect length for a fall walk and well maintained.

A group of Pickleball players from Topeka hiked this trail starting at the mid point as an out and back. Easy trail with nice views of the river and wooded bluffs. Total distance was ~4 miles.

This trail was pretty, but it offered neither the variety of views offered by other trails in the park nor views of the river. When we used this trail, it had not been used recently, and the span of the trail had so many spiderwebs across it that my husband and I had to remove the webs at least every five feet the entire length of the trail. Grass and moss had grown lushly over spans of the trail. We turned back approximately 0.2 miles from the end because we were tired of knocking down webs.

My husband and I only walked the 1.8 mile stretch from the Weston Bend State Park down to the trail-head near Bethany. This park was gravel rather than paved, which we preferred. The trail was well-cared for and bright. It ran along the edge of Weston Bend State Park and was closely flanked by a railroad track. It had nice views of the river, a bridge over a small creek, and we saw a variety of wildlife, including squirrels and a small garter snake. I would recommend this trail for a gentle walk or bike ride.

absolutely awesome

Nice paved trail through the woods. I LOVE this trail. It is challenging enough to get a good work out and very peaceful. I personally would never bike it.

Great Hiking, had some hills that were little challenging. Views were great, trees kept the sun off us!

Great trails. Nice and wide. Some good hills for a little challenge. Well kept and very used trails. Marked well with maps along the way.

Very nice paved trail. There were some trees down today, but that is expected after storms. I recommend taking the paved trail from the start and taking to the real trails up through the west ridge trail when you get to the opening off of the paved trail. It then loops back to the paved trail. Makes a nice hike and mix of terrain.

Trail is well maintained, marked very clearly.
This is not the place to go for seclusion and the enjoyment of nature.
Very very busy place, lots of dogs and dog poop.
Very easy trail with moderate inclines in small grouped together sections.

Great for kids. Mile markers every 1/4 mile. Wide enough for traffic going both ways. The first mile has some serious hills if you are pushing a stroller. I brought my 1yo, 3yo, and 7yo and we made around the whole loop today. It also has some benches every so often. We will probably do it again when it greens up some. Right now very brown (as expected) but we did see a few birds.

Nice and moderate hike. An easy out and back. Just over six miles if you go end and back to end. It is a mix of gravel road and concrete bike trail. Very clean hike. The scenery over the river is nice. This trail leaves no risk of being lost. Great for dogs.
