I only rode the Blue Trail which is about 3.1 miles. Decent place to ride but nothing to write home about. I wouldn't go there to ride this trail, I just happened to be in the area.

Plenty of ups and downs to get your heart rate up, but nothing technical at all on this trail.
All wooded, so no scenery or views to take I'm either. According to other reviews here, the Yellow Trail (about 12 miles) has more views.

Reasonably well marked, but not the best I've ridden.

We hiked the day after a pretty hard rain, so there were some muddy spots. You have to walk a while before you get to the actual trail. Thank goodness for the blue ribbons and arrows to mark the trail. You have to walk through some pretty grassy areas that haven’t been cut back. There is a beautiful outlook area that you can see the lake.

Love this trail, great for a quick morning hike. Lots to see . My kids love it.

Lots of wildlife, pretty views including over the bluff with Warsaw's Mile Long Bride in the distance. Trail is marked with blue on trees as well as arrow posts directing the path.

We use these trails a lot, but finally had time to hike the entire yellow trail (12 miles in 4 hours). Trails are well maintained and are marked well enough. Thank you to those who have put in the work to make these trails possible. Trails are mostly through woods along Truman Lake. There are shorter options: green trail 1.5 miles & blue trail 3.5 miles.

Beautiful with fall colors. Nice lake views. The longer trail was closed today related to a prescribed burn. The entire park was gorgeous with red and orange trees. Extra, there was no one there!!!

Great trail and sparsely traveled. Word of warning; spray down with bug spray as ticks are horrible in the summer. Some Great Lake views and decent in terms of maintenance. Some areas are a bit confusing, but if you use the app you can get back on track. Did I say wear bug spray? Also use a walking stick to bust the abundant spider webs strewn across the trail. We did the 12 mile hike in about 4.5 hours with a brief lunch stop lakeside.

This is my hometown trail (disclaimer). The MO state races are held here so we can have some swagger! Well maintained ( thanks trail crew). A must ride!

Great Trail for Hiking. Lots of options and ups and downs. We stuck mainly to the blue but ventured onto the yellow to make our hike longer. Very rocky, not for the weak kneed. 4.2 miles in 3.5 hours. Saw red tailed hawks, and a bald eagle.

In addition to Western Wallflower, I hiked the 1,000th Mile Trail. It was tricky to find the trailhead; you follow the access road to the signs for the marina; you'll see the trailhead on the right, way before you reach the marina. This trail is short and blazed well in red. There is decent variety in elevation and views. I was amazed to see two bald eagles circle me overhead. We also saw a large doe. You reach a high bluff above the lake and can step up to the edge of the trees and rocky ledges to look over the lake.

On the day I visited this park (my first time to this park), I intended to do all 3 trails. However, the access road to reach the longest trail (Bluff Ridge) was closed, presumably for the winter season. That section of the park has a lot of campgrounds; wish I could have seen it. Disappointed to miss out on that last trail. I liked the park but wouldn't put it high on my list for a return hike.

This review is for the Western Wallflower Trail. It's super short--less than a mile--and the first trailhead you reach after passing the park office. It's blazed in green but not marked well. However, the trail is such a short loop, you can't really get lost. You get good views of the lake. Low vegetation, mostly open trail. Some rocky portions, nothing strenuous.

Really nice park over all; The camping area is lovely; in a forrested area and the sites are not super crowded. The trails were a bit short, but all had really nice view of the lake. I kayaked a bit on the lake, but with so many boats running around, I was constantly getting pushed around. Still quite a nice park.

Great trail. Follows Osage River to dam. Drake harbor in Warsaw. They have now completed the old swinging bridge decking. For a small town great job! Mac at truman lake bikes in Warsaw was instrumental in these trails and a great bike shop

We camp and hike the trails, as well as swim, at Truman Lake. The trails are nice for family trips. The 2 mile trail has a nice lookout point. The campsites are nice, bathrooms are generally clean, and the swimming is great. Nice water. We always enjoy our trips there.

Truman is my favorite place to camp close to home. It's a pretty campground. Well maintained. Clean bathrooms. Nice to walk the trails. Find the right campsite... And it's quiet... So far the only place I've seen an armadillo at in Missouri!
