I used to love this path back when I roller-bladed on a regular basis. It provides a good challenge with a lot of variety. I wouldn't recommend it for beginners as there are some pretty steep downhills (had one bad wipeout myself, but luckily nothing broken).

Today was a super nice day! The trails had a decent amount of people including kids and animals, but that was okay with me.

paved trail. can get crowded at times. they are making it longer though. I ran the part from Orlando's to where it ended (at the recycling plant).

not a bad trail. some muddy parts. some hills. but it is paved.

flat, mostly shaded. paved but forks off into unpaved if you want. quiet. nice views of the river.

A herd of deer, gaggles of geese, 3 eagles, 2 hornet nests, & 1 train.

Nice flat trail along the Meramec river

Winter dead trees but warm day (60s) led to a busy trail for bikers whizzing past us. It was a clear, paved path with woods and streams on one side of the path, and homes or businesses on the other.

I love this trail. So much to see, trains, tugs, barges, herds of deer, groundhogs and today a beautiful Bald Eagle. Blue Herons and so many SeaGulls. Clean restrooms at the JB and cleaner ones at River City Casino. I always pop into the Casino for a free soda or coffee. What’s not to like?

Well maintained paved path. We saw an eagle on our first trip out.

There were few people on the trail today as it was cold and there was some precip. In the winter at least, there is really not much nature to see. You ride in alongside some neighborhoods or along industrial or manufacturing sites. But overall the trail is in good condition and a great way to get outside.

Damaged sidewalks, fenced off in parts as you get closer to Forest Park.

directions through app are wrong. they just drop you off on hwy 30. if you turn onto rahning road and make a right onto old gravois road, you'll see the turn off for the park

it's a nice easy flat walk. hardly any elevation. heavily trafficked

Love this place, it's like being in the country without leaving the county. Not only is the paved trail nice there's quite a few dirt trails to explore. The views of the Meramec are beautiful, the fishing is a little tough when the river is up but can be rewarding when you do land a fish. Wildlife in the area so be mindful of snakes, turtles, and deer you may encounter.

Good paved trail for walking, running, and biking. Good shady spots too and relatively flat.

Enjoyable walk along the Missouri river with good views of the river and the city.

Will have better views of the river once the fall comes and leaves drop. Better for biking.

this was a great trail! the park is beautiful, the trail is mostly shaded. the ONLY downside is you’re right next to the highway, so you can hear all of that traffic the entire time you’re walking. i’d recommend it though, we will be back!

This is a lovely paved trail that was lightly trafficked. The views over the river were gorgeous at sunset!

It’s a very nice trail. Beautiful scenery. It was a little muddy due to flooding previously but still very nice.

Great little trail! 99% flat and there are restrooms along the way!

Super flat and easy trail

Walked downtown riverfront, flat and scenic, enjoyable and I felt safe by myself in this area. Trail closed north of Lumiere hotel due to flood damage... you can navigate around it but some bicyclists recommended to do that only with a buddy, very downtown industrial. Outside of the city, this would be a great trail to walk or bike. Enjoy STL :-)

Good flat trail for biking. Plenty of spots to stop off and go explore elsewhere.

A great trail, and doable for beginners, despite its length. I haven’t done it since last year (I think it’s currently washed out), but I highly recommend it. If going in the summer, be sure to bring sunscreen and lots of water. One bottle of water didn’t cut it for me. It gets HOT when riding along in the sun with minimal shade. Despite several drinking fountains, only one or two work (which is partly why I don’t give it 5 stars. The working ones are also close to downtown STL which do you little help when you’re way down closer to the Chain of Rocks bridge. But, even if you’re a beginner biker, it’s worth the ride. Highly recommend!
