It's a fine park, but not the best "hike" - lots of people watching if that's what you're looking for.

I used to love this path back when I roller-bladed on a regular basis. It provides a good challenge with a lot of variety. I wouldn't recommend it for beginners as there are some pretty steep downhills (had one bad wipeout myself, but luckily nothing broken).

Paved. If it was unpaved, it’d be safer when wet. This place all slippy when wet my dudes.

the lack of dogs is disappointing. nice elevation gains for such a short tail.

Very nice all paved trail. Parking is close to playground and trail access. I wish it was longer but still very nice walk. If I come back again I will plan to do the loop at least twice.

Easy, semi-paved. There’s a fair amount of people since it’s in a metropolitan area.

Today was a super nice day! The trails had a decent amount of people including kids and animals, but that was okay with me.

Beautiful trail. We were even to see a clydesdale and a pony, which I had no idea were at that park! The trail outlines on the app was a little weird. But it's a city park no need to follow the trail. You can go wherever which way you want without getting lost. I grew up near this park and love it still!

paved trail. can get crowded at times. they are making it longer though. I ran the part from Orlando's to where it ended (at the recycling plant).

not a bad trail. some muddy parts. some hills. but it is paved.

flat, mostly shaded. paved but forks off into unpaved if you want. quiet. nice views of the river.

trails were paved but slanted for quite a bit of the walk. not secluded at this time of year, you can see houses and hear highway noise. strenuous path that we enjoyed, just prefer to get away from civilization a little more.

A herd of deer, gaggles of geese, 3 eagles, 2 hornet nests, & 1 train.

Great surprise of a trail. I saw lots of families hiking, even one with a stroller! It is paved, but steep in some areas. A small water crossing about halfway through, not anything to worry about. The park seems to be well kept, lots of signage. There is even a 1/3mi trail with a story book posted talking about acorns to keep your littles entertained. The Mens restroom was closed at the trailhead, although it’s located pretty close to the ranger station.

Nice flat trail along the Meramec river

Winter dead trees but warm day (60s) led to a busy trail for bikers whizzing past us. It was a clear, paved path with woods and streams on one side of the path, and homes or businesses on the other.

I love this trail. So much to see, trains, tugs, barges, herds of deer, groundhogs and today a beautiful Bald Eagle. Blue Herons and so many SeaGulls. Clean restrooms at the JB and cleaner ones at River City Casino. I always pop into the Casino for a free soda or coffee. What’s not to like?

Well maintained paved path. We saw an eagle on our first trip out.

There were few people on the trail today as it was cold and there was some precip. In the winter at least, there is really not much nature to see. You ride in alongside some neighborhoods or along industrial or manufacturing sites. But overall the trail is in good condition and a great way to get outside.

Very nice trail around the large lake. Heavily trafficked

The Archgrounds and riverfront are a great place for some easy, scenic jogging. Great scenery if it is a nice day. You can watch this video I recorded of a run here to get the idea of what to expect https://youtu.be/MOnz3tDDCkM

I love this park

Good trail - paved but a bit slippery when wet.

Loud because of highways otherwise ok. Not scenic

All three trails here are paved. However, it is much more like a dirt trail from a scenery standpoint, that is to say, very pretty. I would say this is the best paved trail I've ever been on. Two of the three trails have steep grades, so you can get a little workout. I will come back when it has been wet and dirt trails are muddy.

Wide paved trail with multiple parking and restroom facilities.

Damaged sidewalks, fenced off in parts as you get closer to Forest Park.

Paved but sort of slick in the cold. Decently steep
